why is it that so many men think they can pressure to to meet then when we say we dont swing much as we say all the time they block you, toys out the pram grow up

Do you want them to keep bothering you then?

Maybe they've blocked you so they don't bother you anymore

Or perhaps they would rather have a quick meet than hang around waiting for ages,some people don't like to do that and will concentrate their energies on making other arrangements with other people

Its not just those men who block for no apparent reason. Single women and couples also block. Some don't even give a reason. But there is alot of cases of judging a book by its cover, rather than getting to know a few things about a person.

i see blocking as lazy and rude in some circumstances.

I agree, single males who approach this lifestyle properly will take the time to write personalised messages to people who interest them..there's nothing worse than receiving a reply from someone you might have written to previously placing a flea firmly in your ear! Blocking people who say 'no thanks' saves any possible aggravation and time wasting..in fact why not block people who say 'no thanks' they're hardly likely to change their minds in the future.

Well I think it should be a mutually convenient time, and the guy who blocked you may well have wanted to meet a couple who were more definite in their planning.

He may have had a 'hissy fit' and blocked you, or he may well have just blocked you to avoid troubling you again.

Maybe but this has just happened in a week he has emailed u free when he knows we work during the week and cant swing anyway we dont care his loss as we had said next weekend oh guess what married and he cant do weekends

Im wondering just how much you don't care by all the comments you're making and now hes married,why is it bothering you so much that hes blocked you,most people would maybe think they had a lucky escape if you were all that incompatable

I dont really think people block for no reason at all. They all have their reasons, its just not always obvious to others. Im sure sometimes its to stop them forgetting that they have contacted you and stop them doing it again, there are so many profiles on here that it must get confusing.

Wouldnt let it worry you ...........just move on.

Totally agree, a girl that hasn't even spoke to me came on my profile & blocked for no reason?? Grow up, like being in a play ground sometimes.

same as id walk past someone in the street i have no interest in.

I often block people just so that I know I am not interested. I have also blocked family members and people that I know and just don't want them seeing my personal photos etc

I don't think it's childish. Just a tool for using the site.

Blocking is a useful took which we use a lot. It prevents people who have been rude from contacting us again, stops us from accidentally contacting people who have sent us a no thanks and keeps things running smoothly.

Blocking is just another tool to help people get the most from the site. It's up to each individual user to decide how best to use that tool, for their needs.

How arrogant to someone to consider that the way in which they use a site feature is the way all site members should use it.

There's nothing childish about blocking someone that's incompatible, or that you don't want to meet or with whom you have no desire to converse further.

Just make sure you still block him as he can undo block and re block you at will.

We block friend req's off people we haven't spoke to.even women who are not verified by meets.

I often block, for a host of reasons. Blocked one today that had looked at my profile. When I checked theirs, it screamed 'TIMEWASTER' at me, so I saved us getting in to any pointless messaging. Sometimes, when browsing, I block randomly, if it seems we are uncompatible (age/height/colour/looking for! Lol). It saves me reading their profile again, or them not reading mine, and blindly messaging. Its not childish at all. You don't talk to everyone you walk past in the street, so why should it bother you they don't all want to talk to you?

What is childish, however, is if they open another account to send an abusive message, once blocked! Had that a few times. Lol

Some light afternoon entertainment reading the pros and cons of the blocking feature.

I dont know how many members this site has, but if someone chooses to block, regardless of the reason for doing so, its simply a fact of life that they can. If its childish, then so be it, tell them your dad is bigger than theirs and be done with it.

There will be plenty more profiles on here to choose from who havent blocked.

My philosophy is to deal with it, and move on - less stress and less need to broadcast it on here.

I have tendency to block i imessage and get negative reply simply so I do not at some other time message again as I do not keep messages and do not wish to offend folk by looking to be a nuisance and I see nowt wrong with it.

Blocking someone is not childish at all. Those on my block list are my son's mate who happens to be on here, several rude and abusive males and those who want to meet but really don't want to, that way they cannot contact me. If I didn't I would constantly be harassed by people I didn't and don't want contact with. Every now and again, I cull my list but two people have earned their way onto the list again for constantly messaging me over the last month, wanting to meet even though I have told them I don't want to. If you had the same, would you be prepared to constantly tell them week in week out that you are not interested in them?? I don't think so
