One of the first swaps we did was separate rooms. We'd be down but most people seem to want same room fun these days.

To be fair though we meet separately as well so I may or may not have taken someone's wife to a hotel room on occasions...they just didn't take mine

Yes.

So many swingers have a bit of a taboo about this which we think is a bit odd.

Sure, all four of you together in one room can be sexy.

But if you're prepared to watch someone fuck your partner then why not let them do it in private? Seems odd.

As long as we trust the people, we don't see why we shouldn't do it in separate rooms / buildings.

We're also BOTH very happy to let the other have a solo away-date, and this is something we've both done and enjoyed. It's usually followed by giving a blow-by-blow account when we return home, which usually involves something of a 'reenactment' scene

Separate room swap feels meeting another person in a room..the fun ends too soon. Same room fun is more enjoyable as a group with multiple different ideas/kinks which lasts long.

Why is it restricting us?

One couples turn on could be another ick, which is why we respect everyones kinks or turn on's.

If it's different to ours then we just continue to look until we find compatible couples.

The terminology is a bit dated, but we know what you mean...!

We did same room fun with couples for years before we experimented with having sex in separate rooms and we loved it.

That took us on to meeting separately. We then decided to try having solo overnights with other partners and that took us to new heights.

The retelling afterwards just adds to the adventure, so you have a second chapter for free...!

We've now taken mini breaks with others and that's yet another aspect to enjoy.

We love having a few days apart, knowing that our other half is spending all their time naked and shagging in a hotel room.

There's room for everyone in this strange hobby we all share.

We love same room fun but separate room swaps for the night are amazing. You can do the things you’re maybe nervous about doing in front of your partner. Then reuniting the next morning can be special too
