Have you seen the tattoo of a gun in a stocking top? That's a good one.

Make it a big, manly gun. Something like a Desert Eagle .50 not something like a Derringer!...lol

I have had a tattoo done covering my calf last week and the lowest parts of it (around the achilles) hve caused me all sorts of trouble and are taking ages to heal up. Is that typical?

Never had this much pain from any of the other tatts I have got.

Don't put ideas in my head Bussy! Lol

I've seen the gun ones many a time - personally a little too 'gangster' for me - but each to their own!

Itching to get my next one done but not booked in for another 7 hrs of joy til march!!

My lower leg took longer to heal than all my others and was quite sore for longer. When it was fully healed it was fine. So, in my experience, it sounds normal.

What are you using for aftercare? I've always had great success with Prep-H.

Been surprised at how this has hurt whilst healing, it gives me shooting pains up the leg. I have been using Bepanthen nappy rash cream but can see the idea of using pile cream as that is anti-inflammatory.

I have only used Bepanthen once and I ended up getting an infection. So now I only use Prep-H.

No problems with both sleeves, chest or back of my neck since.

I will take this advice as I am sure this has been infected this week. It has all healed apart from the heavily tattooed tribal parts on the lowest part of my leg. They are still red hot to the touch.

If you think you've picked up an infection, get along to the doctors and get some antibiotics, that's what I had to do. It cleared up within a week and once fully healed I had to get it re-coloured. It won't clear up on its own and will only get worse.
