Is Curvy a good thing ?

Is being called curvy/chubby etc a compliment? I’ve only really grown my curves in the last year and I’m still adjusting to my shape but I’m used to being slim! Do people prefer a bit of cushion for pushin still?

Everyone has different tastes so you'll never please them all (unless there's a massive gangbang). What matters is how you feel, if you're not happy with how someone describes you, then don't put up with it

Personally, I think you look fantastic

I am very much in the chunky camp. Gimme bumps and lumps and curves any day over skinny gals, I find it so much sexier. But also, fuck labels. Are you happy with how you look? Awesome. That’s all that matters. (And you, madam, are sexy as fuck IMO by the way)

Enjoy yourself and that's the main thing...

You look fab, so I wouldn’t worry one little bit!

I also think curvy and chubby can be two different things… you can be curvy but not overweight and equally can be chubby but not very shapely.

Either way, every one has different tastes and preferences- what’s hot for some is not for others, so try and embrace your body and play to your strengths x

In my many years on this planet, I've found it's not the shape that matters. I've met some 'larger ladies 'that just ooze sex appeal, I've also met some 'body beautiful 'that have the sex appeal of a wet fart,..be happy within yourself, that's the important bit.

Curves are hot...everyone, without exception....exception is a bold statement I know, has issues with their own bodies. It's why, in our humble opinion, we find confidence such a turn on regardless what shape and size owning your body grabs our attention.

Lincslady had a bikini on at the beach yesterday. Size 18 mum body but looking bloody hot...she was terrified but god she owned it! It was fantastic to witness it.

So in conclusion confidence over any body shape and size absolutely rocks! Smile and enjoy the weather

Ultimately its what you're comfortable with and love.

Sexiness isn’t just based on your body it’s about how you present yourself and your confidence!

You are gorgeous. As is everyone else it’s all in the eye of the beholder but most importantly it’s how you see yourself too

Curvy covers a vast array of sizes, there are women who are a size 22 and call themselves curvy and women at a size 12 who call themselves curvy too.

I've always preferred a woman to have curves, hips and bum have always been my achiles heel.

At the end of the day, it only matters that the person is comfortable with themselves and that includes women of all sizes from thin to large, confidence is a big turn on and there will always be someone who finds others attractive for how they look. That's the amazing thing about preference, everyone has one and it covers all shapes and sizes for each and every individual.

I've always had the thought that no matter what, everyone on this planet is at least 1 other persons idea of perfection

That's because you are curvy and very sexy. The only problem is when curvy gets confused with fat. A circle is curvy, but just too fucking curvy!

Before I get ripped apart. Fat was a word before any of us were born so let's stop insisting the English language changes to make us feel better. Some people like fat, some like thin, stop confusing us. When we have to look at a pic to see what your interpretation of curvy means just use, thin, medium and fat!

Before Fab I would have called myself fat, simply because I’m so much bigger than I’ve ever been before. But I’m actually fatter rather than just fat if that makes sense.

And Thankyou

In our 50's we're all bigger than we've ever been. You are NOT fat.

I don't have a problem with people being fat except people are are fat demanding I don't call them fat. I'm too old and too tired to bother learning how to speak again, I learned "fat" before the term body conscious was invented.

"I like chubby, curvy, BBW... call it what you want

Not all men want a skinny thin stick

I love watching a real woman move when we're having fun

Oh look, another one

And on the slim women appreciation thread people are claiming that slim women don't get body shamed...

I'd say you're curvy. My comment would be "watch how much cake you eat", which is in reality what you might think looking at a cake, as opposed to "put the cake down" or "you need to eat more cake".

In truth, we all fit in there somewhere. Unless you're gluten free in which case it's "eat the whole fucking cake, we don't want any anyway!" "

You're making assumptions that to be curvy, you stuff your face with things like cake. That is NOT always the case

I don't have much of an appetite most of the time, so a lot of days, I have one meal. Because of this, my body retains as much as it can because it doesn't know when it's going to get fed again. Before any of you say things like "that's easy to change, just eat more often", it's not that easy. I'm not saying this to cover eating loads, because that is not the case. I've spoken to medical people about it, but there's nothing they can do for me. Instead, I'm going with the flow with food and embracing every curve I have.

As for gluten free cake, some of them out there are absolutely gorgeous. I'm not gluten free, but know people who are.

"Is being called curvy/chubby etc a compliment? I’ve only really grown my curves in the last year and I’m still adjusting to my shape but I’m used to being slim! Do people prefer a bit of cushion for pushin still?"

Hi op. You’re 21 and you have (hopefully) a long life ahead of you. Personally I couldn’t give a crap what’s currently ‘in vogue’ from a body type point of view - I simply want to live long enough, and healthy enough - to see my grandchildren (which haven’t been born yet) grow up!

I have arthritis and my heart isn’t quite as strong as it should be - so I have to watch my weight more than many. Ergo - whatever ‘some’ people on here may say about big being beautiful - I listen to my own body (which doesn’t like being overweight) and real doctors and health experts. I eat healthily and exercise when my body allows it (some days I can barely walk). I’d like to lose at least a stone for ME and my health - I couldn’t give a flying f*** t whether that makes me more or less attractive to the men or ladies of fab.

Bigger can be healthy in some people’s cases - in some it isn’t. We all know our own bodies - and we know if extra weight is making us less mobile and taking a toll on our health. What we do from there is up to us.

At the moment I’d say you’re well within the healthy size/weight range - but please never alter your body shape simply so that others will find you more sexually attractive.

Hugs

Peachy

Am I reading that correctly, are you telling her to watch what she eats "

We should all watch what we eat. Makes a huge bloody mess on our clothes/the table etc when we don’t.

Stick the same lingerie on a curvy woman and a straight up and down woman with a body like a teenage boy and I think you will find 99% of men and women would prefer the curve appeal.

You don’t need to lift up one body type by putting down others! If you can’t see how that is body shaming maybe reread your comment.

As long as your comfortable in yourself it shouldn't matter.

However, some people have different limits on what offends etc, so we always err on the side of caution.

"Is being called curvy/chubby etc a compliment? I’ve only really grown my curves in the last year and I’m still adjusting to my shape but I’m used to being slim! Do people prefer a bit of cushion for pushin still?"

Only you know if it's a compliment or not, based on how you feel about yourself. Slim is different to skinny or stick thin. However, if they are happy with the way they are is that wrong ? I'd say no.

Fab could do with more options to describe ones self because women on here use curvy to describe themselves when they are morbidly obese.

An hourglass figure is attractive. I saw a woman on here who said I'm a 16/18 if you don't like big women move on. But she had a great hour glass figure no big gut hanging down.

The important thing is to be happy with yourself.

I am not happy as I put a lot of weight on at the later stage of lock down. As you can see from my pics. I lost a lot but I'm back to where I was hence not changed them. But I'm doing something about it. And will post new pics when I'm slimmer.

You have to be happy with yourself but the older you get the harder it is to lose weight. So prioritise your own happiness..

I think it’s tricky being inbetween, as we feel like we don’t fit into the usual stereotypes: bbw or skinny etc so I would describe myself as curvy but apparently that also means larger just not quite bbw so I’ve absolutely no idea, but as everyone else says you look amazing and certainly are not chubby.

Curvy means different things. It’s used to describe small waist with hips, more ample ladies and other types of body shape. If you feel comfortable with the term and take it as it is meant (a compliment I assume?), that’s all that matters.

I honestly wouldn't say I have a set type or would preference one body type to another, I really am way to open minded for that!
