"Looked at me"

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I suggested to someone the other day that if they didn't like the kind of people who were showing up on this page, they shouldn't bother opening it.

I'd like to take that back, as I've now seen my own list and now I can't stay away from it. "How come she hasn't even looked", "What on earth is he looking for" "Why haven't they got in touch, wowwwww", etc

The temptation to message some of these people is quite strong, but that would be a bad idea as they've already decided they don't want contact, because they looked first and haven't sent a message.

Oooh, it's a minefield I tell you.

Sometimes I look and dont like to send a message but am happy to receive one from them. In fact I can be a little shy at times, so may look several times hoping for a contact, so your right it is a minefield not knowing the right thing to. This is my 2nd time on the site and I havent as yet got the ability to look at my list and think I prefer it that way for now

You probably get a lot more views than you do because I think lots of folk hide themselves from appearing on 'looked at me' results. *raises hand* lol

The blokes are lookin at you because they see you are verified and want to try figure out your success, or something like that! The couples are probably just browsing, same with the single ladies

Quick survey - of the last 100 that haven't hidden their looking...

44 are single men, of which 19 had the silhouette & 6 were cock shots.

41 are couples, of which 8 had the silhouette & 2 were cock shots

15 were ladies, of which 3 had the silhouette (no cock shots here...)

That's not bad - I imagine most of those who have "no single men" were looking in the context of "who is this idiot on the forum", will now see how many more come out of the woodwork!

was in a chat room on another site and got a mail from a person saying , youve looked at my profile 15 times now and have not contacted me about a meet etc

i had to explain that there name began with the letter A and they were at the top of the chat list and i was clicking there profile to get another web browser to check the lotto numbers etc lol

so who knows why a person clicks your profile

it could even be by a person that wants to get some idea of how to fill out there own

haha my hubby is having that dilemma too

I sometimes look at people, like their profile but then get cold feet and assume I'm not their type so I don't message them or even wink lol

Go for it - the chances are that whoever you contact has been rejected enough to be sensitive in rejecting you if that's how it goes.

We look on a regular basis, but have never contacted anyone, we feel if we were of interest to them, they'd have contacted us

Possibly, but that would rely on the look-ee being a site supporter, which can come and go. And isn't that the kind of situation where a wink would be the appropriate action?

We are amazed at the places some people are actually from. LIke Northern Ireland, New Zealand to name two. They have looked at our profiles, not a cat in Hells chance of us ever meeting up, so hope they enjoyed the few pics that are available

However, we find it useful, if somebody is constantly checking your profile, they may want to meet but are unsure of contacting you. If somebody views us a number of times, then we always send them a message. It doesn't hurt to do so and can result in meeting up, nothing to lose really

I look at the profile of people i'm replying to on the forums, I sometimes look at profiles to see what they have said, and of course to perv the photos, sometimes,lol

I also look at the Audi, Jaguar, Mercedes showrooms but never go in...

Looking is not wrong. As someone said, if they look often then they are a bit interested, but too scared to wink or say hello, all strange really, after all they will stand naked and play

I always like to have a look at the people looking at me its most probably the first thing i do when logging in i have a quick look at them to see what they are looking for and also perve the pics to see if i can get some ideas for future pics for my own profile xxx

Now, I dont want to sound pessimistic, but I too am addicted to the "look at me" function, If only to note how rarely anyone actually does look at me...

Similarly, when my cam is on in chat, i derive peverse pleasure from seeing the "watching me" cam icons flash swiftly on and off, presumably as the poor viewer realises that it actually is my face they are looking at, and hits the stop video button in panic.

On this evidence, I never message anyone on my list, as it is likely they have already suffered quite enough already.

On the upside, i shall have hours of fun looking at the look at me-ers, who are obviously curious to see the poor unfortunate who wrote this drivel, and are debating furiously whether or not to message me... with the number for the Samaritans

i will actually message people thanking them for looking if they have looked a few times but never been in touch as i found many are actually quite shy and found it an ice breaker. You do get the odd weird reply, but you pay your money and take your chances!

I like the 'looked at me' page. I do send a message or a wink to those who look..if i like them...

Why don't you try sendig quick message to someone on there that you might fancy..go on ..give it a try.

I find there are 3 general (but not strictly) reasons why people look at my profile:

1) Guys - checking for friends' lists/verification to see who am meeting so they can "harvest". An example "I see you met Ahabs - I'm a black guy too - lets meet!" or "You met Ahabs - do you only meet black guys then?". Such Genius!

2) Girls - checking to see what other girl's I'm seeing and hence determine I'm not worth meeting (apparently there's some discreet rivalry between certain women - completely unnecessary as far as swinging is concerned).

3) Couples - Generally to see if I am, or to rule out that I'm not their type.

There are a few other cases, but the above cover most of it (especially the guys!)

PS: I think the forums could do with an 'EDIT' button, delete is ok but tedious.

If I notice someone who is rather 'hot' has looked a couple of times I'll send a quick message 'noticed you peeked so just returning the favour x'

Quite often this gets a reply, usually from someone who was too shy to mail first xxxx

I often look at people to see if they've updated their profile or if they've changed their pics. The fact I haven't messaged them has absolutely nothing to do with my level of interest and I'm sure it's the same with many people. Also with so many people on the site and the preview pics being so small (and of such standard things....) it can sometimes be hard to remember whether someone you have looked at was of interest.
