I’m usually more successful having fun outside of Fab.

Meeting people face to face makes it easier to establish a rapport and get along.

Fab allows winks and messages and I know women and couples get bombarded by single men (even if they’re not so single), but is the first port of call how many verifications they have?

I’ve known plenty of ‘verified’ profiles that are fakes, so isn’t it more important to engage with people you’re interested in, ask a few searching questions and then arrange a meet?

Sometimes but we have met lots of guys with no verifications n met some lovely ppl I guess they need to meet someone first to get that verification to be given a chance

Verifications really only show you have actually met in real life, webcam verifications don't do it for us.

But nobody is going to show a verification on their profile saying they were the worst couple someone has ever met, not going to happen.

They are just a pointer to someone being real.

Before Covid, anyone on FAB over 12 months and no verifications, we gave them a wide berth.

Verifications aren’t everything in Fab no, but they’re a good indication the person you’re talking to is genuine about meeting, and matches the pics in the profiles

One of my friends I messaged after her joining Fab only 10 minutes earlier, so had no pics, wasn’t photo verified, and no meet veris either. We’ve been seeing each other for about 2 years now…..

Yes I do. I don't just look at a number. I do read the difference between social meets and intimate meets. But yeah, you do you, too.

Yes I do. I don't just look at a number. I do read the difference between social meets and intimate meets. But yeah, you do you, too.

I don’t do repeat veris from someone I’ve already met, they’re unnecessary in my view, and smack of lamppost pissing, so most of my veris are from the first meet with someone new, and usually a social. It’s nobody’s business but ours if we went on to arrange a play date, or continue to meet afterwards.

I don't care how many veries people have because I'm more interested in who they are verified by than how many.

I don't rely on other people's opinions when deciding to meet or not. I'm more than capable of making my own decisions.

However if those verifications aren't consistent with the rest of their profile and tell a different story then I'm not interested.

In the same way if they are verified by people I know who like to create background drama it's just not worth the hassle.

They are extremely important to some and very often are used as a persons USP when they tell me that they've met and been verified by so and so as if I'm supposed to be impressed.

They are also very important to those who like to trawl through other people's veries and have to meet certain individuals because that keeps them in with the in crowd.

There are many varied ways in which verifications are used and abused on here and they have more significance to some than they do to others.

we use verifications as a tool to find out what kind of person they have been meeting . For example if they have 5 verifications and all of them are with women who are size 8 then we rightly or wrongly assume they are just talking for a shag and not seriously into bbws . Which is a no go for us we use them like all the other tools on here

I got verifications but still a fab virgin lol. I suppose women are bombarded with hundreds of messages everyday so it’s impossible for me to get a meet on fab. Now only looking to meet in clubs or people who I have met before to keep in touch with.

I met a guy a few years ago who wasn't verified and he turned out to be an absolute sweet heart but unfortunately there are too many time wasters a fantasists who aren't meet verified so i give unverified guys a wide berth

photo veri compleate waste of time proves nothing ..... cam veri yet another compleate waste of time again proves nothing and should be stopped like the old phone verei was ....

social veri again but a compleate waste of time as there are people on here giving them out willy nilly and again dont prove anything ... play meet veri are ok at least they tell you that they play but its really only any good as a filter ie who they have met for fun but again there are people on here who give them out willy nilly ...

and thats the problem no one knows now if a veri is real or not if people got cam veri they tend to hide them and let people think its meet veri so we dont rely on them at all no more as said they are a great filter as to whom they have played with .... you only have to go in chatrooms to see people giving cam veri out like sweets ..then its alway those people who moan they are being messed around ... its a shame because veri used to be a sure fire way of knowing some one is real ...nowday if you have vpn you can veri yourself and gab would know nothing so alot are fake too ... we just use our gut feeling and years of knowing to get meets no phones no apps no emails just fab messages works for us we meet often cant remember the last let down but then spoting most messers is fairly easy .... veri has lost its purpose

No we have a few and still think they are important. Not perfect but our swinging time is precious so they help as a filter to focus on people most likely to fit what we want. It is often what is not said rather than what is and also learn something by who gives the veri. When we arrange parties also important as we want to invite people who likelt to fit our party vibe and veris' give a clue.

Some really interesting stuff on whether verifications are important or not, whether they may still be disingenuous and that there are alternatives to veris some people use.

Nope, I don't give them much credence myself. Verifications are never negative so I like to be my own judge. Also remember everyone on here started with no Verifications so people do meet people without Verifications.

To be fair not everyone wants them or wants to leave them likewise. A lot of my previous meets have not been verified either way.

Very important for us. We’ve such limited time available to us for swinging, veris help build trust to know the person is who they say they are.

Ideally we look for people with recent veris by meet.

It’s not the be all and end all, but it helps us make choices x

We've been told ours make us approachable due to the more social nature of many of them. Suits us if that is the case. As far as we are concerned they just legitimise us as a couple and that we are what we say we are on our profile. That's all they need to be for us.

I don’t think they are the be all and end all but I do think they are important, they give a sense of the person and can help gauge if someone is genuine but like with everyone is comes down to preference so for some it will be important and for others less so. Having no veris wouldn’t put us off talking to and meeting someone if we liked the profile and got on chatting

I don't think they necessarily do mean too much as I've met people without any, and they've been great meets.

But I do like the effort of someone becoming photo verified, it shows that someone is willing to put in a little extra effort which I appreciate.
