We don’t mind older men but recently upped our age bracket and the desperate ones get abusive when they aren’t for us and don’t like being told or taking a hint so we dropped it back down. Some of them act like kids.

Space of 2 days one offered to pay for us and didn’t like it because we didn’t accept and got abusive with personal insults, upset his ego I think and the 2nd sent a polite message and we responded just saying hello and asked how he was and he tripled messaged thinking he was entitled to a “meet” because we replied to his first message.

47 is not old think that must be more of an excuse guessing it was in a message that you were told your too old but that really shouldn't be the case if their filters let you through x

I dont get why some, not all men get abusive when they are told, thanks but no thanks. If a woman replies to me with a sorry but your not my type. I'll reply with a thanks for letting me know and that's it.

Your problem is not your age, it's your outlook and negativity that's the problem, be patient, try different angles, approach only people who are looking for your age range. I'm way older than you and not doing to badly at all, it's all about attitude.

I am an even older guy . As I have gotten older, I find practicing acceptance, being compassionate, and setting my ego aside becomes more and more important.

Individuals understandably have different preferences, but how they express those preferences and interest in another speaks volumes.

Sounds like the other person in this case could use a lesson in thoughtful communication.

Great to see the responses on this thread. Gives me hope as an “old” guy

It feels it on fab. Profiles I read tend to round up age preferences. 30,35,40,45,50 etc just for starters, but I can tell you 45 is a popular choice as an age limit.
