I have straight monogamous couple friends. Quite frankly, they look bored of eachother like they don't get enough sex etc. I wondered if swinging married couples are happier?

Possibly it's the social aspect that increases the happiness rather than the sex. Talking to people about similar interests and such, meeting new people, making new friends and/or acquaintances.

People tend to stick to same pubs, and it's not necessarily socially acceptable to start a conversation with the next table in a restaurant, lol

I think the swinging aspect of a couples life encourages communication, honesty and adds variety. This stops sex becoming everyday, and in our case, because we only swing together gives us something else to share and enjoy. X

I would imagine most normal monogamous couples would look at you as a swinger with some disdain and must be unhappy in life , that you cant allow one partner to keep you satisfied / happy .... two way view on this right ...

sex is overrated at times and is not the most important aspect of a living couples life .. when there is more real world pressing concerns going than getting your cunt or cock wet

money issues, job issues, health issues, family issues / friendship issues . distractions etc so many variables that easily explain a supposed bored looking issue .

Obviously sex is important in a relationship but I don't think ENM or mono couples are happier - it's far more nuanced and complicated than that.

There's absolutely no coronation between swinging and happiness. There are literally millions of happy monogamous couples and there are also miserable swingers. Obviously we enjoy swinging and would shout it's praises from every rooftop, but as for happiness, unfortunately there's a lot more things go into the mix than just liberal sex. You can swing all you want but if the bailiffs are coming to repossess your house you're still not going to be happy in life and your sex life is still going to suffer as a result.

From what I read in the forum loads of swingers are really unhappy with each other and getting nowhere near the amount of sex they'd like. My personal opinion is that a good monority of couples swing precisely because there's something lacking.

We agree with this, many are here for the wrong reasons and it often doesn't go well. We know there are some swingers who rarely have sex with each other, and there's probably loads of couples on Fab who are the same.
