I’ve seen so many threads on here that I know I’m not the only one who constantly gets messages from people who haven’t read my profile.

Are these people actually successful tho? Is this why they keep doing it?

I even get repeat messages from people who have either not read or ignored my profile.

Sometimes the profile is contradictory to posts on here though.

You may get a profile saying "no single men", and yet post on here for a hotel meet fantasy with a guy.

I'm not suggesting that this explains all of the spam you single ladies must receive though.

Similar to when we see guys techniques in a club, we have a theory that they either have no sense to try something else or it must have worked once, so that is there move.

If people whom we are not looking for want to message about things involving not meeting etc that's fine by us. After that they now get ignored or a copy and paste somewhat sarcastic response

The new ones they create as you blocked their old ones had one ask me why had blocked their last five profiles as wanted to talk to me!!

It's very unusual to recieve a message from someone who's studied your profile. We specifically state we will delete unsolicited messages from single men, but still they come thick and fast. On a number of occasions we've ended up in an argument with guys that can't take a polite no when they've sent one word messages,filth, or ones directed solely at Mrs. Sometimes ignoring and blocking is the only answer. Of course we sometimes get very well constructed and thoughtful messages form guys which we embrace and relpy positively to; it's just the idiots that give single men a bad name.

With a site where the men outnumber the women by 100 to 1 (probably more) then unfortunately this is always going to happen. Men trying their luck especially when so many messages go unanswered (and yes I do understand that women get 100s of messages and physically can't answer them all) its a numbers game.

I do read profiles (although have to admit I sometimes struggle understanding what they are looking for). For example, when it says 'no single men' yet when you look at verifications and/or friends, there are single men on them..

Some profiles state in detail what they are looking for and I appear to fit, so message, but get nothing back. So assume that even though I appear to meet what they are looking for they aren't.

I know you can't write everything down in minute detail but why write at all if what you're looking for is pretty generic? For example. One woman says, love a hairy chest ( I have one). I'm in the right age group. She says she looking for men. Can travel and several other things that escape me. But all of which appear to fit me. So I write what a message. nothing vulgar and hopefully something that at the least makes them smile. Yet all i get is 'deleted'. It doesn't even show that they've looked? (I know they can hide that they have). The point is I do take the time to read them and make an effort to send a message that one would hope, could at least start a conversation and see where we go from there. I'm sure men have done much the same as me, time and time again, but as mentioned at the start the competition is great and I would imagine after a while, they do get pissed off and think, the worst (that there must be loads of fake profiles. the women on here don't really know what they want. That they have changed their minds. That they are on here just to tease. That they have found someone but remain in here just in case something better comes along) and I'm sure a whole host of other reasons.

We use it as essentially another filter and just block them.

Like popcorn in a microwave, it was very vigorous with nonsense messages when we first arrived but now the pops are less frequent

We regard profiles as an addition to our filter.

If someone makes it clear they haven’t read our profile, we feel that one of their unsavoury characteristics is lack of attention to detail. And if someone is contacting us with the potential of having sex with us we want to know that they, at the very least, want to know something about us, what we’re looking for and what we offer.

This is why our block list us growing daily

no one, male or female or couples or whoever, can ever write enough in their profile to match exactly what and who they are looking for.

For one, I suspect it would be so long that readers would get bored.

Another is that you must have chemistry, otherwise it wont work and you can only do that by meeting someone (and if that is fine, when things start to happen it simply may not work)

A profile is never too long to read, we read every word just to make sure we are a possible match. And if anyone doesn’t read it all because they got bored, the filter works perfect for us

I believe it is called the scatter gun approach. You copy and paste the same message to loads of women and couples. You hope it works on one of the people you email. I doubt it ever works.

no they are complete imbeciles I find and I imagine they are just copy pasting mass messages and hoping for 1 or 2 bites out of like 50 messages ....

I just ignore them or occasionally I will amuse myself and say that I like meeting intelligent/attentive men .. usually get a reply that is exactly them of which I can then enlighten them to how dumb they are .. gets some comedy gold reactions and plenty of salt
