First visit to a club tomorrow night as newbies what would be the best time to go? Obv don't want to at opening time but coz it's our first visit don't want to go too late when it's mega busy x

If it's your first experience, go early-ish

Expect to socialise with as many folks as possible - do the network thing.

You'll find the club scene is much like a pub full of sexy folks who are wishing to play that evening.

If you expect to walk in late, and stroll into the play, you'll be very disappointed. Most of the play contact is initialised in the social areas over a glass of something nice with good conversation.

Don't be shy. Be open and I think you'll find fun

Thanks. I'm going to my first club soon but I'm not great at small talk with strangers...some men probably think I'm unapproachable too as I'm usually really fussy. Lol I probably won't have much luck? Lol

So if the club opens at 8pm we go about 9ish?

Where are you going?

If its the club we think it is you are going to ( Shhh ) , we went for the first time ever to a club 2 months ago, like you we didn't want to get there too early, so we settled for 9.30pm , we soon settled in after being given the tour, yes we were nervous at first but having a drink in the bar area and chatting to a few people we soon relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed our first visit, been back a few times since so it didnt scare us off lol.

My wife and I went to a club for the first time about 18 months ago. We really didn't know what to expect. We arrived around 8pm and it was already packed, but it was a Saturday. We found a booth and were too nervous to approach anyone as they all looked so busy in conversation already. But after about 10 minutes a lovely couple came and sat with us. And about 20 minutes after that we were having some fun. We enjoyed it even more than we thought we would.

There would be nothing wrong with having gone and sat in a corner for your first visit. Have a drink or two, and just have a nosey, no need to do anything, just scope it out and see what you think. You’re in control of it all.

It’s easy to back out, but it’s not as scary as you imagine! x

I got the following advice….:

Events can be better than normal nights, also get on the forums and speak with others, some might have kik groups before the night and pop a meet up on your profile or status a few days before

You’ll likely find couples contacting you and you’ll have a few to socialise with that will definitely ease the nerves

I too was terrified first time I set foot in a club, however got talking to different people had an amazing time now if possible I’d go every night, so utterly eye opening and refreshing being round similar people, do it I’m sure you won’t regret it

Don't worry about it, the hardest bit is walking through the door lol

We went all the way to Gran Canaria to visit our first one,

we were bricking it going in the first time lol, but everyone was so

friendly and welcoming when they know you are beginners that by the

end of our visit you didn't feel as if you were doing anything

out of the ordinary going for your night out lol

.

You have a really good club on your doorstep too, Cj's at the townhouse

it's a good club, well set up with social only spaces and

when you want to go upstairs you can just wander around and

get a feel for it without having to take part in anything unless you want to

The regulars are a friendly bunch and Cj herself is an absolutely lovely lady

.

I was invited by a friend to attend Abfab for the first time 9months ago. The previous comment about the hardest set is walking through the door. But once you have stepped over the threshold your find most clubs are inviting and fun of likeminded genuine people. Most clubs are clear with there rules and most people adhere to them. So my recommendation is give it a go ..
