"Been ask to get circumcision even though I'm 64. Any side effects going ahead with it" There are side effects to all medical procedures and everyone will react differently. This is a question for the medical professional who had told you that circumcision is necessary to resolve a problem that if you have. If it wasn't a doctor and you don't have a problem....well I'm sure you know the answer.

"Biggest difference is the drop in sensitivity. I’d advise avoiding it at all costs. Wish I had " I've heard differing opinions on this - I was done at the age of 4 so can't comment either way, but read a study that ejaculation times and premature ejaculation rates were siimilar which suggests sensitivity isn't affected either way.

"Who advised you and why? If it was a qualified doctor, I'd probably listen to them and ask them these questions. If it was Ethel down the road, I'd just ignore her. " Thread closed

"Honestly was one of the best “forced” decisions I made, had 2 dorsal splits and both failed, always had a very tight foreskin and a large bellend, was sensitive for a few weeks after, when you pee it has a mind of its own and when you cum first time after it’s a shock as there is no resistance. Would recommend it if it’s for health reasons as well " I was mid 30’s as well when it was done

"I spoke to my mate yo ask if it hurt. He couldn't remember because he was only a few weeks old. But apparently he couldn't walk for 12 months " Winner!

Have known a few cut guys that have suffered from premature ejaculation so debunks the myth u lose sensitivity.

"Circumcision is only advisable if your foreskin is too tight to pull back, or if you have any other such problems with it. Under my GP's advice, I was circumcised at the age of 30, because my foreskin was too tight, and one incident where my frenulum split left me rather worried and anxious. The recovery process can take anything up to two weeks. I had both weeks off sick from work whilst recovering, because for the first week, your penis will be covered in dressing and plasters to keep the stitching in place. The stitching should dissolve in the given time frame. The recovery process is uncomfortable rather than painful, though avoid erections where possible. Sometimes, if the penis becomes erect during recovery, stitching can break, and that can be very painful and bloody. So have plenty of surgical dressing ready to deal with it." I split my stitches when I had my op, was a uncomfortable situation, but still think it was one of my best decisions

"Thanks for the variety of responses. To clarify .... its not a medical reason or advice from doctor. It is a tight foreskin and big cock head meaning foreskin can't fully retract. Female friend prefers a circumcised cock so she has cock head to taste and tease. Been advised to massage coconut oil to help foreskin to retract fully" I tried all the creams/lotions/oils going, none of it worked, having it removed was my best option and I don’t regret it at all. It was quick and easy and the only negative was having to have it re-stitched but it would seem a fair few guys have had that re done, pray for ugly nurses lol, my prayers were not answered but I’m definitely going straight to hell anyway lol

Once it's sorted, even if you haven't had a circumcision, she should easily be able to get to the cock head. But please, only do it if it is what 'you' want and the doctor advises it. Never do anything permanent just to please someone else. For all you know they might disappear and you'll meet someone else who doesn't like what you did.

"Biggest difference is the drop in sensitivity. I’d advise avoiding it at all costs. Wish I had " I had mine done as a child and loss of sensitivity is a genuine difference as the skin on the helmet becomes thicker like normal body skin. I have however never known any difference but I am aware mine is less sensitive than guys with a full tube. You get used to it though and the upside is you get great self control.

"I had mine done in my early 30s. Foreskin would go back on the rare occasion but when it did it ‘strangled’ my bell end. A partner advised me to get it done, so I did. It was very painful, (20 stitches) and caught an infection during the healing process. Apparently quite common due to being in a warm and damp region of the body. The doctor said that followers of the Jewish faith have it done at birth and penile cancer in that community is far less than 0.1%" And how common is penile cancer in none religiously mutilated cocks?

"Knew a guy with phimosis who had it done in his thirties, after much persuasion. It transformed his sex life, which had always been rather dysfunctional due to the condition. He wished he’d gad it done years ago. My husband has a tight foreskin, which would bleed during sex. Scar tissue means it just gets tighter, of course. And my son has inherited the same issue. If you have a medical issue, don’t suffer in silence, and please see a doctor for treatment. It doesn’t always need to be surgical, and it can be a real game changer. " That’s a great positive response to the question, with someone with experience of others suffering…spot on!

"Been ask to get circumcision even though I'm 64. Any side effects going ahead with it" Had to get it done in my 30s for medical reasons and for me it was the best decision ever, I probably had about two weeks of discomfort in total and then back in business. The first few times of having sex after the op it all felt a bit strange but then it all settled down the only side effect I had from the surgery is some reduced sensitivity but on the plus side I last longer and the ladies seem to be happier.
