We just started trying this. Will say got a book, few ropes from B&Q and tried it. While not the prettiest of things we have both enjoyed it.

I think in a recent rope thread there was mention of rope classes in Manchester it may be worth a forum search.

I would also add that I believe in getting started (and you can press the green arrow to see my previous advice to help people get started).

But remember rope is edgeplay and anyone starting should read up on some elements of safety first. Be aware of the nerves that can be damaged (particularly on the upper arms and wrists) and what can be done to make those ties as safe as possible, although there is always an element of risk.
