Old Nell's for decent pub and food, Beacon Fell for a walk ( quite a few steep hills though in places )

Garstang area is lovely. There’s a nice canal to walk along with a thatched pub near the road Guys that led something or other) there is a place called the flower bowl that has some awesome crazy golf. Or head into the trough of bowland if you want sone proper walking. And there is a lovely gin bar in the area too.

I probably helped very little there but I tried…

Preston

Look for Nicky Nook, a few mins drive from Garstang, close to a lovely village called Scorton that has a couple of amazing cafes - The Barn and Daisy Clough (avoid Applestore, overly busy and understaffed). Some nice walks around Longridge too - Longridge Fell, Jeffrey Hill, the River Hodder... Gorgeous!
