I try not to kink shame but don't quite understand adult babies and diaper lover's. Am I wrong for not being understanding and accepting?

Every kink is odd to someone. A kink I’ve indulged in before is needle play and that gets some extreme reactions but at the end of the day if it is legal and between two consenting adults who are we to judge what others enjoy?

Very true but after briefly sticking my head down the rabbit hole it seems to be much more than a kink and almost a way of life for some. Needleplay, although not for me doesn't concern me but rationalising some of the dynamics in AB just doesn't sit right for me.

Solution is simple. Don't bother trying to rationalise it and leave people to enjoy their chosen kink.

That's a good example of a 'fetish' as apposed to a 'kink'

A fetish being the act that gives you gratification. Kink being something you do as part of what you are doing to enhance it.

In the example op has given, that will be enough to give gratification

It wouldn't be for me,but everyone is different

Each to their own when not hurting anyone etc, but anything relating to children or childlike behaviour does make me uncomfortable if I'm honest.

It's about giving complete control over to another person. As babies we were totally dependent on our caregivers for food, warmth, affection and personal hygiene.

I don't see how that is strange at all. Most people desire to be loved and nurtured.

ABDL is so under understood (hope that makes sense) its not what most people think, the DL side can start through many reasons, mine started due to medical reasons. DIAPERS are after all just another form of underwear, you would be amazed who actually used them during covid... the AB is slightly more complex to get your head round, I use a dummy to help me sleep, it's as simple as that, some like to sleep in a cot, sone like to dress, ect.

The title of the post is kink shaming.

What people over the age of consent do, with full consent and that does not cause lasting harm, is nobody else's business.

People don’t have to understand alternative lifestyles, they just need to let people be and not get in the way.

ABDL isn't for me, I've dabbled but just felt stupid.

I prefer the DDLG subset of it tbh, but I have that kind of personality to begin with.
