Question about profile help

I've seen a few people ask for help and tips with there profiles,and you see guy/ladies/couples helping along which is always good

But my question is would you have fun with a person just because they had a nice profile ?? Surely feeling an attraction is most important, this question is more aimed at couples/ladies as we know guys don't read profiles anyway( so they say )

A good profile gets you interested but looks and personality are what makes us play with them or not.

It's not so much a good profile that gets me interested, more that a bad profile puts me off. But my idea of good or bad will be different to other people's.

How do you define a good profile from a bad one?

This could be where a lot of us fall down we have a bad profile and don't even realise it.

I'll read a profile before a message. If the profile is crap, I am more likely to delete the message.

An interesting profile, can occasionally make me reply to a bad message.

If I get a message then I'll look at the profile before opening the message (especially if there are no pics attached to the message). If the profile is crap or shows that they have not read my profile (they can't accommodate or won't meet smokers) then the message will get deleted.

Obviously if someone can't accommodate then thats not their fault, but I will also be put off by one liner profiles, 'will fill this in later' profiles, profiles full of text speak, shouty profiles, and profiles moaning that they can't get meets. But then its their rofile, and some people will be attracted by all of that.

Your profile is your shop window, your advert. To my mind they fall in to 3 categories, the crap (1 or 2 lines, some cocky pictures), the bland (nothing of substance, generic statements) and the good. A good profile expresses preferences, says what a pperson is looking for and shows more than a hint of personality. To me a good profile cannot and will not appeal to everyone and that's the part most people struggle to grasp. Like attracts like, sell yourself not what you think others want or expect.

A good profile will undeniably open far more doors.

We should start a tread to help each other out to make there profile better giving tips.

My tip is to use a camera that gives a good picture in good lighting. I know low lighting can make it more seductive.

I like a profile that shows a bit of personality and that someone has made at least some effort. If it's got humour in it then it's usually a winner and I'll be well up for a chat.

Like all of us, I get all too many messages from the usual suspects with no pictures, no info and who clearly haven't bothered to give my profile as much as a glance.

We should find someone with too much time on their hands who can do X Factor style auditions for us and chuck us the ones who pass.
