I message who I hope is a lady , she replied very friendly but asks if I have skype and will only chat that way ? What's the scam as it most certainly is

She probably just prefers to chat on skype and use 1 on 1 cam rather than whole room can see her cam on here! Why would that be a scam? Bit of a cynic aren't you?

Thing with MSN and skype is you can chat real time on there

I personally prefer it as on here a 4 messages conversation can take a week if people keep logging off between messages and taklng 2 days to log back on and reply, i get bored of that very quick and move onto someone else, if im arranging a meet i dont want it to take 5 days between afreeing to meet to arranging a time and place

cant see what harm it will do to add her, if it turns out not what you expected just block, plus you can easily ask her to pop her face on cam just so you can see her

I remember when people used to use msn messenger to chat only. Then I would receive a load of junk email straight away afterwards.

Then again like you suggested she might just feel comfy using skype. Skype is a bit more secure than messenger.

Skype is no more or less a risk than any other IM service (MSN, YIM etc). The usual precautions apply. Set up an account that you use just for 'fun', and be aware of dodgy folk whose only aim is to record you on video (there are various free programs available that make this very easy). Good luck!

You only have to look at any of the 'amateur' videos on porn sites to see recordings of people on these sites, most of whom im sure have no idea they are being recorded.

I would use it as a means of verifying that the person is who they say they are rather than playing online.
