Is there a code to people's requirements? I.e; FMF, FFM, MFF. Do the order of these letters matter when it comes to describing a situation, or is it all.the same? Is FMF a woman joining in with a MF couple to make it a 3some, or is the order just chance?! TIA

No. The only thing that matters is what has been agreed to beforehand. The order of the letters is absolutely immaterial.

As I understand it:

MMF = 2men, 1 woman, with bi male play

MFM = same without

FFM = 2 women, 1 man, with bi female play

FMF = same without
