Has anyone experienced as a couple being approached by single males, chat and meet socially but when invited for “fun” they accept but either cancel, don’t show try to re-schedule and do the same again?

Is it your rule, one strike and you’re out or, do you give them more than once chance?

Interested in hearing your views / thoughts

In our experience,the vast majority of’single’ guys aren’t single but just like to get off on the idea( hasten to add there are hundreds of genuine single guys on here who do well)

The majority of single men we've agreed to meet have turned up. We've had one cancellation and two ghosters. I don't know what we do differently but whatever it is it's working.

I would add that we like single men and enjoy their company.

If they don't turn up the first time they won't turn up the second.

Ive had far too many people cancel last minute as well, either their car broke down en route, they had to go to A&E last minute, or their babysitter cancelled... Its always the same excuses too.

You'd get over one cancellation as we all know life can intervene at the worst times but to do it a second time is not on and the thing is all of us single fellas end up getting painted with the one brush.

We’ve been lucky also...only a couple of let downs but we sussed them before we bothered leaving the house.... the way we can tell is simply watching those that message us for a few weeks and working out the ones that only message through the week and vanish completely at weekends only to resurface on a Monday with the usual “how was your weekend” etc etc basically the partnered ones just cheap thrilling through the week with chat!

Well I can hand on heart say that I have turned up for every meet I have managed to line up, even if travelling to another county. But, I have been ghosted or let down a whole ton of times.

After not having a meet for quite a while, when someone shows interest and things get arranged and you start getting excited, only for them to disappear never to be heard from again is totally demoralizing.

99.9% of genuine verified guys won’t let you down.

Take a look at their verifications as well as how they word their messages. Most fakes are easy to spot.

I’ve been on here a long time and only ever cancelled 1 meeting (due to daughter illness) & gave 9 hours notice. It was a meeting with 2 couples, & one of them I’d meet previously.

I've had the opposite experience.. Single females.. nightmare. 3 no shows in 2 days and so many just overly entitled princess types. At the end of the 3rd I was done. But i've kept it alive. For now.

Yep agree! There are times when people can’t make the meets and we totally understand that. It’s when we have re-arranged and they still don’t turn up having Agreed.. we know for sure there are genuine single males out there who really want to meet its finding them x

That’s is very true. Some verifications say “I’ve known that guy for a longtime”.. that could be anyone

We have never let anyone down to date xx long may it continue x

We had one guy cancel in the early days and then trying to rearrange a meet with him became difficult and so we blocked him.

We don’t do one strike but if it becomes difficult then we can’t be arsed.

Plenty more fish.

I suspect the no shows are for a variety of reasons: nerves/anxiety and changing their mind (online confidence is sometimes easier than real life confidence), or sometimes things in life do come up last minute (although no excuse for not messaging), and then the final group would be the ones who aren’t really “single” and can’t get away from their “non-single” life

I remember the nerves of my first meet about 12 years ago! Took me about half an hour of the meet to settle them! Very worth it in the end though!
