Many,many years ago, I started work for Alpine Soft drinks,canvassing for new customers. Cold calling at doors. One day I was knocking doors. I noticed a lady ironing naked in her kitchen through the panelled door. She just put the iron down,answered the door naked and I forgot every word of my well rehearsed spiel. Nothing happened but it was an eye opener. I then started lorry driving for the same company. Before the internet we had a book of addresses to deliver to. Those marked S/C were shag calls where the guys delivering knew that extras were possibly on the cards. Even met an old school friend once. Fact,not fiction
