It certainly doesn’t get any easier as you get to 50 as a lot of people have that as an age limit. But hang on in there, as you need patience as a guy on fab, at any age, due to the sheer number compared to the women or couples on here.

How do you mean not as good as years ago? Is it as like op due to the 50, or Is not as good as years ago in general? Or is it not as good as years ago because you struggle as your 50 but years ago were 35/40 and found more people who's age filter you fitted?

Being gay doesnt give you the right to ignore anothers preferances especially if its made clear that one isnt into MALE/MALE entertaining or any other qualification like 5cat or baby play etc.

Its a lack of respect basically.

As I am bi curious - this is not a dig at the outright gay community.

I am late fifties, nudging sixty. I have met several really interesting people through Fab, who I would otherwise never come in to contact with.

The key is what you put in. I would strongly recommend attending one of the organised socials.

There have been so many threads on here about getting to 50 and feeling left out, but there are lots of over-50's in all categories. I think a well written and clear profile, well-chosen pictures, searching for people who really match your needs and appropriate messaging - and a lot of patience - will get you there in the end. It has done for me and I'm well ahead of OP in the age range.

I can't find it now but I asked open ended questions, three days in a row. Admittedly they were inane weather related, what are you doing today type questions but all interaction has to start somewhere. I think the thing is that we have to put the groundwork in, network, chat to people regardless of whether we're interested in meeting them. It might lead to chatting to people we are interested in meeting.

I think maybe peoples mindsets have changed over the last few years with lockdowns different ways of working etc

I was on here a while back and made some lovely friends and select meets . I became ill pre Covid not related .

FABs age limits and setting them does mean some couples setting limits will miss out.

We met a young couple in a club and we're 10 years over their limit but we had such fun, she in particular expressed her surprise and we are friends so can message when otherwise we'd not be able to.

Age limits don't change automatically. And people don't know or too lazy to update.

Things may be tough for the over 50's and even more so for us over 60's but there's still fun to be had, a quick review of verifications show that. The problem however is that many folks rate physical beauty over experience and if given the choice will opt for the younger model.

Well done. You have a great profile and veris to back it up which helps but you are definitely an outlier as I doubt if many 30 or 40 year old men nevermind 50+ guys could have the same experience and rely totally on ladies contacting them.

Being over 50 doesn’t make men less attractive, it just means we fall outside the Fab golden barrier of 45. The Fab ‘Holy Trinity’ for profile skin reads is;

Can accommodate.

After that, it boils down to how convenient you are to match when they can meet

Women rarely Fab pics it’s true, but it’s because they worry you will see that as a ‘come on’, and start messaging. If they like you, and want you to message, they’ll wink.

Yes, there’s lots of men who Fab men’s pics, and men desperate for a release anywhere they can find it, so meeting other men desperate for a release for ‘cock fun’, can’t be bad can it?

Just keep your message filters up and enjoy some appreciation from wherever it comes

Just be you. Chat shit in the forums. Keep running your local searches for potential matches. Block anyone you don’t match, that way you filter down to a handful you may match with. Fab is good at any age. Good luck

Taken aback this morning at the price increases at Morrisons in the last 7 days.

Sadly lost interest in Glastonbury years ago. goes with the age
