I’ve been on and off here for a while, had some great meets in the past but just recently the men on here have been driving me crazy, is there something in the air?!

There are probably plenty of books that have attempted to answer your main question, but you should consider yourself fortunate that you got an indication of his true personality relatively early on. There are some good guys out there but fab requires a lot of patience in finding them I’m afraid.

There are a few factors that affect how people behave online, some to do with their background and a lot to do with the fact that they sometimes forget they're speaking to a real person, especially if they have zero intention of meeting. I will be accused of misandry for my next comment but SOME men feel entitled to your time and company in a way that is completely unhealthy, block them, block them fast.

Sadly there are a lot of guys like that on here, I commented the other day that guys like that make it increasingly more difficult for the respectful ones among us and I was promptly told that I was shifting the blame elsewhere…

There are an increasing number of singles and couples who block single guys now because they are fed up of behavior like this which makes getting yourself noticed as a single guy quite tricky.

There are couples that's are as bad op ,I'm straight & have them blocked now as they can't read profiles or are rude.

I am curious about your comment about the background of someone affecting hiw they behave now though. I've had oddballs of either gender being 'weird' towards me but never thought of that.

1 guy I met a few times wanted us to go to parties, and meet other women as a couple (that's of no interest to me), I've had 3 marriage proposals and a guy I had a social with this week... I mentioned at least 3 times that I didn't want to receive dick pics, he said he understood and it was better in person etc etc... Gave him my number, arranging a hotel and then what does he send me? A dick pic.... Then tries to tell me it was for someone else. Which kind of makes it worse

I’ve found that the best and genuine meets I’ve had are from men who I’ve had to approach, or who wink instead of message. They seem a lot more comfortable with their own company that they don’t go out of their way to make a nuisance of themselves and are generally just happy with company and taking things as they come instead of having expectations. Could be talking bollocks but that’s just my experience on here

you do realize that you can unread a message ?? ie people can look at your message decide not interested then press the unread so that theres no hassle back ?? same with looking at profile in stealth mode .... people have to be clever to avoid backlash or abuse's or the i see you've read the message or oh why not im a good guy

then there's the fact that most people will open your message then view youe profile then see theres a silhouette and no pics or not like what they read and then unread ...

so chances are they do get read and they are not interested then press the unread button with you being none the wiser so your not getting anywhere because people are not interested until that person comes along who may be interested most will give in at the silhouette ..

there are 1,0000s of decent men on here but being decent still not enough as there is simply not enough women or couples to go around .... its swinging so unless the numbers equal out a bit more then alot of men simply have no chance .. thats just the reality of life its brutal but its the truth no matter what if we lost half the men in the scene there would still be to many and rather than more women and couples joining sadly they are leaving creating a even bigger problem for men on here

I don’t think it’s exclusive to just here…

There are some good ones out there, but given the number of men on here I suspect it’ll take a while to ascertain who the good ones are, sadly.

Depends what you are looking for op. I’d consider Ashley a good man(he treats me well) but he gets lost in the shuffle. Seems to me there are a number of strange individuals and couples on here and not just single men. The amount of times couples have messaged asking to meet me alone . Just have to take the rough with the smooth
