Does anyone know if the has ever been a newbie couple party.

Just read events page and see loads different partys on the page but never a party for new couple singles.

Second question wopuld any one go ?

I mean even if been swinging for a a little while example a month or so would you go to an event that was for new swingers?

I would have done

Sue

hi hun,

i run parties down here in devon and we always keep 5 spaces available for newbies but i do meet with them first for a drink ( no play) and answer any questions they have and to make sure they are genuine. I also advise them that parties are not for everyone and to ensure they have a safe word and keep together on the first night so they find there feet and there confort level.

Hell i wish somone had done that for me on my first ever party, i got so d*unk i dont remember it, due to nerves

I personally dont think a party just for new people would be a good idea, i remember when i first started this, i started swinging with my then hubby and we met a couple who had also never done anything before, it was a nightmear, noone knowing what to do, when to start, what was allowed or acceptable, all to nervous to ask or make that first move, now you imagine that in a house full of people, i think you would end up with a lot of very nervous d*unk people myself x

nice idea but i reckon you would get the award for best none event of the decade. imagine newbie couples and singles wondering around like chickens with their heads chopped off. swinging mentors as mentioned above are great. also wished i had one when i started. total disaster

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

I think I'd have preferred a "mentor" than an "old hand" somehow...

I think a total "newbie" party would be a disaster.

Our first party was great, cos there was a good mix of people there from very experienced swingers, right through to two newbie cpls, and a newbie single fem.

Everyone was very friendly, and the night was great. The thought of sitting in a room with a load of nervous newbies, no-one knowing how to break the ice, would put me off going!

Pleazzzzzz don't even think about a Newbie Party!

The forums couldn't cope with all the new threads, what to wear, what to do,how to do it and how many time........Oh...and what if we don't like it??

Just get yourselves to a party, find people you have a mutual attraction to and have a bloody good night!

Its a swinging party not a Hells Angels initiation ceremony!

Have Fun!

Just an idea for you guys. The club we go to The Townhouse in Birkenhead holds Icebreaker nights on a friday night once a month and they are brill for newbies. We get everyone to mix and chat to each other, we get bi's to own up etc and it is a really fun evening and a really good way of getting into the swinging/club scene. Give it a try it is really good and most newbies end up getting what or who they want on their first night.
