Thought I'd post this after a conversation with a guy yesterday..

A lot of guys I have spoken to who claim to be bisexual are saying that they are not attracted to men but just like the idea of sex with them albeit penetrative or just oraly.

Is this the same for women??

A lot of people believe sexual orientation is a scale. At each end you have people who are only attracted to people of one gender and, depending upon what gender they themselves are, that makes them 'gay' or 'straight'.

Everybody else in between the two extremes get called 'bisexual' yet within that orientation there is far more variation than within the other two groups.

A lot of guys are in all other respects 'straight' but enjoy sex with convincing TV's. technically they come under the term 'bisexual' yet are certainly 'less' bisexual than a guy who finds sex with men and women equally desirable.

Some women consider themselves straight and have never had any sexual activity with another woman yet 'fancy' some women and wonder what it would be like to have sex with them. Some people would consider these women 'straight' because they haven't acted, and have no intention of acting, on these feelings. Yet according to the 'scale theory, these women are slightly bisexual.

Under this theory men who find the idea of sucking cock or getting fucked by one a turn on but aren't attracted to guys in a way that makes them want to have a relationship with them would be closer to 'straight' on the scale than those guys who find both genders desirable as both sexual and relationship partners.

As I said it is just one theory for explaining the various forms of sexual orientation/desires people have.

Yes its just a scale, i think its 1-7 with 4 being no preference for either sex. If a girl only wanted a relationship with and mainly fancied men, but enjoyed sex with women as a fun diversion she wud maybe be a 2. A lesbian wud be 7. Just have fun and enjoy yr sexuality and/or relationships and things can change, loads of ppl "turn" often quite late in life. I was bi when young, then married and therefore straight, now im pretty much gay.

For most bi or gay people, it has nothing to do with who they have sex with - it's all about who you fall in love with.

So if you are genuinely bi, you could fall for either a man or a women.

I'm gay - a lesbian, and I only fall in love with women. I'm in love with one now (who is ok with me being on here)

I just like getting screwed by a guy from time to time, but nothing on this earth would ever make me invite one into my life again!

And just ask any gay guy who goes cruising - half the men that they pick up are just looking for convenient quickie sex but are otherwise respectably married straight guys.

Please don't label people just by who they want to have a bit of fun with....

A bit yes

i will only play with women in a group situation, i wouldnt meet 1 on 1 or meet a couple for a 3sum but if there are lots of people akk playing together im happy to hop from person to person, male or female

tho i can look at a woman and appreciate someone is good looking or has a nice body i dont fancy women

I'm a simple soul, I have sex with men, not even the slightest bit curious about other women, ergo straight.

If you prefer the same sex: gay.

If you enjoy sex with either gender: bi.

If a man enjoys having his mouth and arse pounded by a cock and wants to believe he's still straight, who am I to shatter his delusion.

If people want to muddy the waters and have sex with all and sundry but remain "straight" go them.

Me, I'm not confused and that's all that matters to me.

Not for me, no. I have to be really attracted to a women to have any kind of sexual encounter with them, whether it's 1-2-1 or in a group situation.

I (f) had two long term full on relationships with women. Now, although I am still sexually attracted to women, I prefer men. Sexually and relationship-wise. Would never consider another relationship with a woman. I think people evolve. On another site there is a tick box for 'fluctuating'. Think that sums it up.

"they are not attracted to men but just like the idea of sex with them"

That sounds like attraction to me. Sexual attraction anyway.

You'd think that swingers would know the difference between sex and love, if anybody did.

There is a difference. My OH wouldn't kiss a guy or have a relationship/fall in love with a guy. But he loves to feel them cum in his mouth or fuck them.

For me if its a relationship its a woman only. If its just sex then either male or female. Although I will only go with another man if I am single. Never cheat on a woman i'm with.

I am currently single so having fun until I met the right girl to settle with

So for me its purely about the sex and the experience of it all.

Its not worth bothering with labels so much as people have different sexualities. Just do what you enjoy

I only ever find women attractive. I rarely look at men in 'normal' settings. All my relationships have been with men, but I love intimacy with a woman, especially the kissing. I wouldn't rule out a relationship with a woman, but it's not happened yet. My guy likes the idea of being fucked and sucking cock, although not done either, we're trying to adress that now....

Exactly the same for me, I dont 'fancy' women, I just enjoy a womans touch and sex with a woman is amazing (as im sure you men will agree lol). Its about sensation not gender, experiencing sensations that I couldnt experience with a man. But for me nothing beats sex with my man but im biased lol

As I keep saying...so much easier if we just say all humans are sexual. Not homo, not hetero, not bi. Just sexual. Then it's up to individuals to decide how they act on being 'sexual'.

Exactly my thoughts too - to me someones sexuality isn't always static but on a contiuum and can alter as things change in people's lives!!

In response to the OP

Those of us brave enough to admit thier sexuality can and do get some stick; but whilst i cant speak for the rest; i for one just ignore it now....im just a guy who happens to have a very high sex drive and through many years of swinging, as relaised i actually enjoy a mans cock as much as i like a nice pussy ...ideally both at same time lol ...

Do some people think of me as dirty old man ? do people look upon me as weirdo ? have people called me gay ?

Yes to all of the above - but i really truly dont give a toss lol

Happy Fabbing - whatever your sexual preferences are lol
