We have been trying to arrange a social meet with other couples but they have turned out to be time wasters, chatting and arranging meets and not turning up or it's just the guy who can meet. We are getting a lot of interest and messages from single males which is fine but not what we are looking for at the moment. Feel like just giving up on here x

You will find that some profiles are not actually couples. Make sure that you only communicate with photo verified and verified by others. Verified by others is easily faked but both together reduce the risk.

We have pretty much given up on the site, hence why we have hidden our profile.

Our advice would be to go to a club. Put on your status you're going to a club and put on "see who's near", you're likely to get winks and messages from others going. There's a lot of fake profiles and timewasters on here unfortunately.

It’s quite the norm on here unfortunately. We just take everything with a pinch of salt and go slow and steady. As was mentioned before, everything can be faked but we do like a green flag verification and are wary of those who will literally refuse to have one. Just find those people a little odd. Each to their own I suppose.

We started off really good, were inundated with requests and possibilities and had several amazing meets, as time has gone on tho it's gotten almost impossible to meet decent, genuine couples....we may get one or two "decent" messages from couples every couple of months...occasionally that leads to a group chat, then it's like pulling teeth trying to nail down a date

Practically always leads to the vibe fizzing out and back to square one

Maybe one day it'll start getting better

We know what you mean. There are so many fake profiles it is a shame. Feels like they should make it harder to set up a profile, just to reduce the fakes

I didn't realise this such a huge deal for couples too, is there an app that you could video call without giving out any personal information ?

At least that may help in one way to see if these people are real in a sense

We have been on here nearly 2 years and still haven't got anything we are looking for from here obviously covid and lockdowm had a big part to do with that aswell I'm sure there are genuine couples on here but it's so difficult to find them lol "
have you tried organised socials ?? We have three or four regular ones we go to in London . There are a good mix of people couples and singles .

Yeah that's the hard part, I'm chatting to some people now and tbh I'm hoping for a social soon then i become that bit more comfortable and friendly as my guard is up and don't want to share my face just yet

Genuine couple here that also find it a challenge to find other couples. Your profile looks great - pity we are so far away, otheerwise we would have been happy to explore, although we suspect we are older than you are looking for, so probably academic anyway. Good luck.

We have only been on here for just over 5 months and so far have not had any problems with meeting. But then we are not interested in social meets as our time is precious so we like to play on our meets.

We find it very time consuming to find couples who actually want to meet on here, lots of profiles where they want to chat endlessly and then can't arrange a time or date for a meet or won't share pictures.

We now go to clubs to find meets as it cuts out people who are unlikely to actually get around to meeting, although if the right people were to message us we'd follow up but we won't send many first messages now.

I'm interested in why there is such a hesitation to reveal faces? I have my face on my profile and on our couples profile we are very happy to share face photos.

That question aside, I believe Fab has become a place where it's full of non genuine people who have no interest in actually meeting and as such is akin to walking through treacle.

As for having a male solo profile, it's all but a waste of time such is the level of fakery surrounding male profiles.

There are plenty of genuine couples on here, it’s just there are so many factors at play with finding them. Distance, compatibility, attraction and if all that works then it’s actually finding time as most couples our age have work and family commitments too.

We don’t really look anymore as seemed to spend time messaging and then it never ended up going anywhere. We find for us meeting men is far easier and if we go to a club and we meet a couple then great but it’s not something we expect to find easily.

when we first hit the scene those many moons ago (nearly 29yrs) couples meeting couples was easy couples meeting bi women was easy and when i say easy i mean real easy but as the years have moved on there seems to be less couples and couples who only play at clubs and today unless you already know lots of couples its become very hard ... there seems to be a lot less couples on fab than there was just 5 or 6 years ago there seems to be more single womem on here but most dont play or play very little ....

and add in covid that changed alot of couples who were left to become club only meets again

Just a case of mutual attraction then.

If you sober fancy playing at the club at least you’ve found a real couple to perhaps arrange a date with.

Where to start?

Work, whether employed or self employed. Many businesses have reputational disrepute clauses in co tracts and for the self employed is it worth upsetting/putting g of customers and clients?

Those with school age kids may not want them running the risk of being teased /taunted if word got out.

People who live in small communities may want more discretion.

And of course just because they don't want to have them public. Regardless of your personal view on swinging the wider world still attaches a level of stigma to it.

Phones are cheap. Get a PAYG sim, use wi-fi for Internet connection at home and you can video chat easily in private. You don't need to have your face on display.

I agree with all of the above.

Plus, our kids are now older and there’s a good chance they or their friends could be on here.

Plus, we just like to keep our private life ‘private’. Nobody needs to know what we get up to.

Personally, we’re more wary of those who have their faces on public display and are ‘loud and proud’ as we feel uneasy as to how much they will respect our need for discretion.
