Using butt plug

New to anal play, wondering if anyone has any tips on using a butt plug, I've used lots of lube and gone slow but it doesn't do much for me, I want dick in my ass so bad but just starting out

I love the feeling it gives. However, the next couple of days I hurt like hell. We've used lots of lube and very slow play but it never changes for me. I'm off limits in that area all week after.

Not much help but hope you get your wish.
