Dark rooms - who likes them

A few clubf members have said they would like a completely black/dark room, do many people like them? do you like having ANY light at all and do you have furniture in or just a bed or a chairs or what do people prefer?

I myself prefer a small bit of light so I don't trip but some say nothing at all.

Please tell me what you think as we are at the planning stage now

I like the idea of them - but in reality, any negative experiences I've had have mostly taken place in dark rooms. Some blokes seem to think that just because there's an absence of light, that means it's ok for them to have an absence of manners or swinging etiquette.

The last time I was in one, some moron tried bare-backing me from behind. I can't relax in a dark-room for that very reason.

I've been in 3 dark rooms in my time.

Cupids a few years ago had a semi dark room which was small and standing room only. It worked because you could see through a 2 way mirror into the couples room and there was several couples that would regularly use the room through the night.

Xtasia had a curtained off dark area, which was simply an alcove with a dark curtain across, about 12 foot long and 3 to 4 foot wide. Again it was standing room only and pretty dark though light did get through the gaps in the curtains. It was regularly used by couples on the mixed nights when the club was busy.

Paradice Club in Holland, they had a dark room with furniture which was almost dark, when your eyes adjusted you could see the furniture. Despite this being a busy club, on the nights I went admittedly some years ago, the room was almost always empty.

Secrets in Newton Abbott has a dark room it used to be pitch dark but now they have ambient light which has kinda ruined the whole experience. A good dark room is ok but you still get the fools that think just coz your in it together it means a free for all. Good fun but be wary there maybe someone who's got their hands on you that you wouldn't give the time of day in in the light. However this is the risk and the whole point of it

Dark rooms are very erotic, a place where your other senses come to the forefront and that is quite stimulating.

A good suggestion but as they're usually public, you'd get individuals adjusting the lighting level to what suited them then someone else changing it back.

We left 6 years ago so yes was introduced after..

There was never a dark room when we were there and we hosted parties for 4 years or so..

It was there when Warwick ran it

Thats when we hosted parties there and there was no dark room then thats for sure "

Maybe it was too dark to see it?

Call it a 'soft' dark room

Who makes the rule? Does the female call it out to the hopeful men clawing each other out of the way to try and reach Nirvana?

Problem is that there are dickheads who disregard any and all rules and push it just that bit too far which often results in the end of play for all present.

Like I said before, the idea of a dark room is horny and erotic - the reality is often, unfortunately, very different.

Maybe if you could go in with a group of people you'd want to play with it might work but the very nature of most dark rooms means that you can't stop anyone else from entering and before you know it, you've got one or two f*ckwits ruining it for everyone.

We have made it!, its got a bed in it and some very low lights at the bottom of the bed so you dont stub your toes! but its very dark....I think the rules regarding it will come out as time goes by and wether we put a curtain over the door will be decided by the people who use it over the next few days but its looking good! thanks for all suggestions and ideas, much appreciated

I can see where you are coming from, to some its the unknown thats exciting, but to some its not, but maybe if you were with someone, they could vet and select or vet and tell the rules for you?
