"wondered to the reason of this, perhaps STD's?" Gone are the day's of the 80s / 90s when a fook was more important than one's health. In "Our" experience, nowadays men are much more concerned / protective about their health.

"I think a lot of women just dont like the thought of playing with a guy who plays with other men, some see bi guys as lesser men and they want a 'real' man I dont think its anything to do with STIs in many cases myself i prefer bi men, its very rare i do MMF with straigh guys i just find them incredibly boring in comparison to a MMF with two bi men, so even if i meet for a 1 on 1 i do tend to go for bi guys incase i wanmt to call on them another time for a 3sum The thing is everyone likes different and your best to put you focus on those who do like you rather than wasting your time worrying why those who dont, dont " Wise words

"Hi Reading through a number of profiles and finding a lot of women preferring not to hear from bi men, wondered to the reason of this, perhaps STD's?" Yes. They perceive them as more risky. Yet, I have NEVER met a married/straight guy yet, who has brought his own protection, while almost always, a bi-/gay guy will. Go figure.

"I would meet bisexual men, but of all single guys I find them to be the least reliable, most likely to cancel. So far have not managed the fantasy bi-mmf. I think the reluctance for people to meet bi males is that they find their sexual activities distasteful, and know that the acts they enjoy would flash across their minds during play, and be a turn off. As far as STI's, this is a possible explanation - it is one of the routine questions asked at the GUM clinic. Have you had sex with prostitutes, foreigners, intravenous drug users or bisexuals? The level of risk for these groups are higher." Veering off the original post and more to this one, I was extremely confused when I visited the GUM clinic in July. It was only my 2nd ever visit, my first being in my early 20s. The advice I was given was that most people with HIV are Africans, asian(as in Thai etc) and eastern Europeans and bi men. She also told me that most HIV positive people tend to stick within their own circles, ie other HIV positive people. I thought this was bad advice but she told me it was absolutely the case when I questioned her. Is she wrong?

"I can assure you that there is no evidence to suggest that at all. Many men like many women have no interest in the same sex. In fact for some same sex is actually something they find repulsive So it's a claim that can not be justified. Not one little bit " Oh yes it can

"Well some I guess think its weird but just check if they meet women two faced springs to mind for many " How on Earth is a bi woman who meets bi women being two face just because she doesn't meet bi men? There's a world of difference in every way. You might just as well say that as she's bi she should also indulge in bestiality or something equally obscure. The only similarity between bi men and bi women is being bi! T XXX

"I walk through my swinging life with my head held high, if people want to meet me.... great. If not, that is also fine, I wish them well and much fun. I will show them the same respect and hopefully them me. If people are disingenuous, says more about them than it does about me." The wisdom of View

"BBC News 29th Nov 2012 The number of gay and bisexual men being diagnosed with HIV in the UK reached an "all-time high" in 2011, according to the Health Protection Agency (HPA). It said there had been a "worrying" trend since 2007, with more and more new cases each year. Nearly half of the 6,280 people diagnosed last year were men who had sex with other men (MSM). Overall, one in 20 MSM are infected with HIV. Of those diagnosed in 2011, nearly two-thirds had not been to a sexual health clinic in the previous three years. The HPA said the figures showed there was "room for improvement" in testing people in at-risk groups. Dr Valerie Delpech, the organisation's head of HIV surveillance, told the BBC: "Obviously this is a serious illness and it is worrying that we're still seeing a lot in men who have sex with men and this is a record year. "Transmission in the UK is largely sexual, so safe sex is the best way to prevent yourself getting HIV." Rising The total number of people living with HIV in the UK rose to 96,000, up from 91,500 the previous year. The issue is most intense in London. Due to advances in drug treatment, having HIV should not affect life-expectancy. However, the data suggests that one in four people with HIV are completely unaware of the infection, meaning they cannot receive treatment and may still be spreading the virus. The chief executive of the National Aids Trust, Deborah Jack, said: "It is vitally important that gay men test at least once a year for STIs [sexually transmitted infections] and HIV, and every three months if they're having unprotected sex with new or casual partners. "HIV-negative gay men diagnosed with an STI should really treat it as a 'wake up call'. You are at serious risk of getting HIV in the near future and need to take steps to prevent that happening - such as consistent condom use and reduction in number of sexual partners." Sir Nick Partridge, the chief executive at the Terrence Higgins Trust, said: "HIV is an entirely preventable condition, yet each year we see thousands more people across the UK receive this life-changing diagnosis. "Reducing undiagnosed HIV by encouraging those in high-risk groups to test more regularly is one way we can put the brakes on the spread of infection."" According to the latest (2008) WHO and UNAIDS global estimates, women comprise 50% of people living with HIV. In sub-Saharan Africa, women constitute 60% of people living with HIV. In other regions, men having sex with men (MSM), injecting drug users (IDU), sex workers and their clients are among those most-at-risk for HIV, but the proportion of women living with HIV has been increasing in the last 10 years. This includes married or regular partners of clients of commercial sex, IDU and MSM, as well as female sex workers and injecting drug users. Anyone can copy and past a fact I suppose people should stop sleeping with black women according to this report seeing as they carry 60% of the HIV

"i dunno in my experiance as a bi male bi people tend to be more discriminated against than gays and from both communities (gay and straight) if your a bi girl your straight and doing ti for attention off men and if your a guy your gay and too scared to admit it : / just gotta take it in its stride and hope to be accepted one day until then just gotta put up with the discrimination" Agree. Bi people aren't generally accepted by either the straight or gay communities... "and as far as it being "preference" with single women i dont understand this. If its a solo 1 on 1 meet the guy isnt going to be doing any "gay" activities and can be just as "manly" or "ladish" as a straight guy. Its ignorance in my opinion. I speak my mind and wont sugar coat it its not the same as a color preference as a gay straight or bi guy can look or act any way, there is no legit reason i can think of for knocking back a bi guy from a 1 on 1 meet" Disagree. If a straight woman doesn't want to play with me because I'm bi, good for her. It's her choice. Whether she's bothered that I might fancy her or try to touch her or she just doesn't want to.... I totally respect her wishes. That's her choice.

"Hi Reading through a number of profiles and finding a lot of women preferring not to hear from bi men, wondered to the reason of this, perhaps STD's?" Can't believe the ignorance...why does being bi = std...surely the amount of unsafe sex a person of any preference has has more to do with std risk...honestly

If nearly half of the 6,280 were MSMs, who were the others? Surely OVER half of the new diagnoses were straight women and men and gay women and men? Who else is there? Not so shocking a statistic now is it?
