So basically prostitution / sex work then?

I don’t know what the Police sign up to but sex work isn’t illegal in your own free time normally, but maybe there’s a clause in their employment contracts about it?

Did they know about the £150 BEFORE or AFTER the act?

It comes under bringing disrepute to the force.

see this is a thing , I would have though ex escorts/porn models etc would be great at working in police for representing marginalised groups of people in sociert or dealing with vice and helping reduce the trafficking/illegal sex trade from legal trade ...

it is baffling indeed .. saying that its the police and well its flawed institution and needs rebuilding from ground up here

Prostitution isn’t illegal but he was acting as a pimp for his wife. That is illegal.

At least he didn’t get done for wearing his uniform during sex sessions and impersonating a police officer as he was a police officer. And presumably the ladies liked his truncheon!

Maybe we should all go work in the police!

"Prostitution isn’t illegal but he was acting as a pimp for his wife. That is illegal. "
but if he was filming them then that makes him a film maker and that changes things, or does it?

I'd like Blackbelt Lawyer on YT, to deal with this one.

They were doing no harm to anyone and it’s a shame that he had to resign from his job (and likely his partner too) for something they did outside of their work lives in the privacy of their own home.

She is a paramedic. It was during lockdown. They were having sex with strangers (breaching lockdown rules) then she would work as a paramedic, potentially exposing vulnerable people to Covid

If you check on Adult Work you will find £150 is the current going rate.

Fair enough, probably not the only one breaking the rules at the time. Maybe a written warning first?

Newcastle under Lyme

There's an amateur porn star and escort, Sarah Jane, who was in the papers back in 2017. She was married to a serving MET police officer so it made the papers.

He didn't have to resign, but this other lad likely had to due to breaching lockdown laws. Can't allow people to bring the authorities into disrepute now can we? Wait....
