I personally prefer the company of men, as I find that I have very little in common with other women.

Some women I don't get (and that's got nowt to do with appealing to men as I don't give a shit about that tbh,) a lot of men I certainly don't get. I'll just be miserable and have lunch by myself, means lots more food for me

Thats a opinion I suppose but I was referring to platonic friendships between men and women , same as the friendships with my male friends which are platonic because I'm straight.

I see my female friends in a simular light to how I see my sisters most of these types of friendship started off through work and have absolutely no sexual undertones from my end .

Also learned to enjoy my own company the past few years.

I prefer the company of people I click with - be that men or women, it really doesn't matter.

The assumption that women are going to be boring because they are only about drama or "girly things" is an outdated and inaccurate trope.

Aha! Maybe if you get all your women friends together they'd then all get on, since they'd have at least have that in common?

That sounds a about accurate. There are a few reasons for that one being the attention and wanting to be around that masculine energy, even though it's not necessarily sexual it is something women crave, as much as the idea of being the center of attention (hence the deep fantasies of being fucked by 2 or more guys). Also most women seem to think other women bring a lot of drama and emotions when they want a chilled night out.

Hence why they prefer a casual time with more men than women.

I've never had women friends like that. I've always found it very odd that women are portrayed that way.

I enjoy the company of men but could just be them being extra accommodating to get into your knickers….. Otherwise doesn’t really matter as long as we have shared interest

Why would anyone choose who to spend time with people based on their gender rather than whether they like them or not?

In my group there are three long term married ladies, they don’t talk about their men as nothing really happens there. Two of us are single and not dating so we have no men to talk about. One is currently dating but likely to not be much longer so we have spoken about that briefly and won’t again. The other is gay and she isn’t dating either.

So no, we have no interest talking about men.

I prefer the company of men. I interact better with men. I have more in common with men generally. Men are generally upfront and easy to interpret (generally, I must stress).

The most toxic workplace I've worked at was predominantly female. I hated it.

I dont have much in common with women if I'm honest. I'm not girly, don't spend loads on hair, make up etc. I have always worked in construction and found it easier to talk to men than women. I think because im so assertive and say whatever I think women find me intimidating while men find it funny. I've not met a woman like me yet and if I do I'm sure we will get on great

I don't think the men find it funny that your a woman and assertive . I think that guys are used to dealing with assertiveness because most guys are straight in there dealings with each other and appreciate being dealt with in that way as there used to it . Kind of grown up with it and prefer the honest approach which is often seen as assertive by people who tend to beat around the Bush for fear of causing offence .
