Following the start of a breakdown in a friendship.

And is within a pic with others. But Not the owner of the picture/photographer

Can’t be identified unless really known.

I.e no tattoos or face shown.

Do you think they have the right to force somebody to remove a picture after giving consent for over a 6months at least

Or move on and leave the happy memories as is. ?

Thanks for your comments in advance.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time and that should be respected at all times

Also people publically displaying (not in friends or private) without consent regardless if person /persons may be unrecognisable to others, is also a direct violation of someone's privacy

Yes they have the right to request it be taken down and deleted, and you should honour their request.

Somewhere off the edge of the map... 'ere there be monsters

I'm not sure I follow the OP and exacty what's being said / asked. But from what I can tell, my answer is that if you have any pictures on your profile that contain other people that become uncomfortable with those pictures being there, then they have the right to ask for those images to be removed. And I think any such requests should always be respected, no matter what.

The request was honoured. But is seamed very petty towards a friend to have to remove. Few was just a of a hand in view.

But thanks all for comments

For what it's worth, I personally wouldn't see an issue or be bothered or uncomfortable if it was literally just a hand or whatever, meaning zero chance of recognisability. But everyone's different and we can't control what others feel about this stuff, or what makes them uncomfortable, etc. Just gotta respect their feelings / wishes and move on. There'll always be another photo opportunity, I'm sure!

Maybe it was more to do with closure as you said the friendship has ended

above are the photo rules. If you don't have permission regardless of your personal feelings the phot should be removed.

Just out of pure curiosity, in the case they mentioned with a hand in shot, if the hand was totally edited out (not cropped out, but painted over), should the image still be removed?
