Always a good idea to break the ice first, and found out how fare your catch wants you to be dom/sub. Sometimes they may just want you to go as fare as hair pulling, few bum smacking. In some cases, you will find that the drawer is full of hardcore stuffs they like to use.

Definitely not sub but would say I like to guide / steer things rather than be dom.. Dom is very specific so I understand and many get it wrong .

I prefer assertive to dom. But it really does depend on the dynamic. I like to give as well as take, and in my experience most are in that sort of middle ground (to different degrees, obviously)

Most of my relationships have been with submissive women -- but I don't like fetish-fixations or tight labels, and don't want to jump through hoops doing the same thing all the time.

Contrarily, I'm also attracted to dominant women and love the energy and ideas they can bring.
