I’m feeling really shallow asking this question but here goes…. So, the body is a tick, the personality seems to be a tick but the face just doesn’t do it…. I’m a sucker for a lovely smile and good teeth…. Is it just a ‘preference’ or is it shallow? Should I try and push through…..?

Face is the first thing I look at! I appreciate peoples’ concern for privacy but there’s nothing worse than talking to someone with a great body, only to see their face ten messages in and be like “erm…”

I've sometimes found with some fellas I've chatted with, I'm attracted to their body. However, it's only once I've seen their face pic is where the real attraction is for me - or not as the case may be.

One definitely has to be attracted to the face.

For me personally it’s a combination of face body and personality. Obviously there’s a minimum for each but if the average works out high enough it doesn’t really matter in what ratio.

I do like someone to be facially attractive. However the right personality can sway me to the extent that the 'who they are' over writes the 'what they look like'. I guess sex appeal can come in a number of forms.

As long as the face is "well kept" I'm more interested in the personality and body. I keep a selection of blindfolds and hoods for those occasions when someone finds me less attractive (or vice versa).

It’s certainly not shallow it’s completely understandable, I don’t want to be kissing somebody who has teeth like a witch doctors neckless Good teeth, Nice smile are important to me. Nothing wrong with having standards sometimes on here it feels like as a guy I’m not allowed to have them and should take whatever I’m offered, well I’d honestly prefer to never meet again than meet somebody with that outlook who had no standards.

I’ve no set ‘attractive thing’ as many things can catch my eye, a nice leg, a smile, red lips, nice eyes. Mannerisms help too. Femininity is my biggest single turn on.

A lady I came across regularly (I wish) in the high street was tall, slim, dressed nicely, facially quite plain but her femininity & feminine mannerisms were amazing. I got turned on every time I saw her.

Attraction is what it is.. if you’re not attracted to someone for any reason then “pushing through” is a bad idea that will ultimately result in a bad experience for you.

The face is the most important part, you have to look at mainly that whilst clothed, so all spark could go from everything else at that point also I like watching for reactions to certain things during sex, so I'd have to be looking at a face I'm attracted to.

There has to be some sort of attraction. They don't have to be Brad Pitt/Tom Hardy but if you don't feel that initial spark, then you'll not enjoy the meet.

As others have mentioned there's alot of other factors too, but if you don't get that vibe it's not being shallow just a personal preference.

Do as you choose. For us the whole package is important yet if one feature is too far out of alignment for us then it is a simple no. From what you've written you seem to be a very visual person so visual appeal seems important to you.

It might be helpful to ask yourself why you want to know if others might think you are shallow. These kinds of questions will leave you open to grief.

This for me too. Many people seem to get really arsey about being asked to send face pics early on. I’ve actually had guys who’ve refused to send face pics - even direct private photos which can be deleted straight afterwards - for ‘security’ reasons. They expect me to either travel to a social for a blind date - or go on kik/WhatsApp etc for face pics or a video chat.

Frankly it isn’t happening.

I’m well aware that I’m not everyone’s type and I’m definitely not precious if someone doesn’t fancy me - I expect others to be the same but sadly it often isn’t the case - to the extent that I no longer message back if I’m not interested as I don’t need the tantrums!

For me the Face is everything and all the rest comes later.

It's like the eyes, the smile, the hair it's fundamental to attraction!

It's all good looking at different parts of the anatomy and thinking nice but primarily its the face you seek, unless you really don't give a damn lol.
