"Unfortunately a large number men on here don’t understand the lifestyle and think that it they can do and say what they like. Unfortunately they give the rest of us a bad name" Why do so many men blame their own failings on what other men do? The only person that can give you a bad name is you. If some men can't communicate properly or act like a dick that just makes the ones who don't stand out even more.

"Some men send basic messages and we are polite, some send interesting messages which develops a conversation and, I have to say very few send messages as the OPs example. All men aren't the same just as all women and couples aren't the same." That's a very fair point. It's not the only example I've had though. Maybe I'm to polite and too verbose in my messages and he has it right!

"So, anyway, do you get some nice c**t? It’s the question on everyone’s lips right now, but people are just to afraid to ask! " Hahaha! I have been lucky enough to be with some delightful women and couples in my time!

"Someone I knew a few years back was on a dating site. He recommended I join, and then send ten messages per day saying ‘Fancy a shag?’ His logic was that if just one of them says yes, you’ve had a result. It’s that type of thinking that gives the good guys a bad rep, but it worked for him. " I worked with someone who said something similar. It was if you were in a club and you asked ten women for a fuck and just one said yes you know what you'd have? A sore face!

"Please. Sorry what utter BS. Grammar. Class. It's a sex site. You can spin how you want it's a sex site. Now the way the women carry on is absolutely pathetic I'm sorry. To say NO would ease alot of your woes. Your rude, power hungry. As I stated I fuck off tinder more than this a sex site. Delusional women, baby elephants it's sex. I don't know about all men but I'm sure most start polite then get frustrated by these delusional women on this site. Again i can't speak for all men but a simple NO goes along way. Sorry its a sex site. Women control access to sex. I mean you men can simp if you want. But women need to take accountability too. I've spoke to some sane women on here but there's not many. " Baby elephants. If I got no replies I'd start sending any old shite just to try and get a response. Can't blame them at all.

"Here's the thing. Not one woman on this site could tell me I've been abusive or anything. As I'm not desperate. But I seen alot of forums and I get pussy in real life and off tinder. So I question a site where everyone is supposedly sexually liberated people choose to ruin people experience? Again most women are rude, because it's a plethora of desperate men. And yes bby elephants that's me being polite with my wording. Fact is its a sex site. How some of these women treat men is abhorrent. Again i don't agree with abuse or none of that. But for women not to comprehend it's a sex site and most men are gonna be thirsty is ludicrous too think anything over. And most men can handle rejection fine. Its the ignoring that probably sets them off! Anyway my two piece. Go watch my new video and enjoy " How is ignoring worse than rejection? I’m fascinated.

Some women leave their message box open because they’re too shy/proud/boring/whatever to message first, then they are unhappy with the messages they get. It’s just the game. Either don’t play or do, no need to whinge. Tinder is better as it forces both parties to act before they can message, and the profiles are way more secure/less fakes. There’s way less rude women/couples than there are rude single guys (usually with zero pics and bio) If you want to make fabs work, do what 99% of men won’t. Go to socials, go to clubs, get out there and meet people. Don’t send a message to an already full inbox and get upset when it goes unopened. That’s the lowest level of effort, which comes with the lowest level of success. As I said, no one’s forcing you to play the game

I think if messages are going to trigger anyone into a bout of self analysis and blame, they should back away from the site or the inbox! Reading the posts saying people are overwhelmed by the number of messages, really? It's a message, you have the power to delete it, use it. After all, you don't know them, they don't know you, there is no skin in the game!!

And this is shocking but if women are looking for men they could actually look and make first contact to profiles they like .It's a weird concept I know, but one I find has worked quite well for me on here . It's a lot easier than sitting back looking at a load of messages from people you have no interest in. Each to their own but I'd rather be proactive in my approach than give out about those messaging me that don't suit what I am looking for.

"How is ignoring worse than rejection? I’m fascinated." I've been trying to think of a decent answer to this, because it's a bit like explaining human beings to an alien who's never met one. Imagine a person (male or female) goes into a shop and asks the owner if they sell a particular item that they're interested in. Instead of politely telling the customer that unfortunately they don't have that item, they instead decide that the person isn't a customer, and that because they can't be sold anything, are completely worthless, and so the shop owner ignores them. How do you feel as the person walking into that shop? The reason that this basic fact of human nature is overlooked is because of all the (maybe valid) reasons people come up with as to why ignoring people is justified on this site... but the emotional parts of the human brain didn't evolve to work that way. Some people learn how to handle the situation, and great for them, but you're always going to tick a few people off. Either you treat everyone politely or you deal with having a few pissed off customers... that's just how the cookie crumbles. Make peace with your choice.

It's literally a shopkeeper's job to deal with people, plus they might eventually get something out of the transaction. Secondly, the customer would have already done some research into what they want, and whether the shop might cater for them, as opposed to blindly bothering every single shopkeeper on the high street.

But what happens if the shop keeper says no he doesn't have that item to 99% of his customers that ask (sometimes not very politely) and then they all argue back trying to convince him he's definitely got one somewhere even though the shop keeper knows he doesn't and then they get nasty and start name calling because they just can't accept the shop keeper said no. You'd not really blame the shop keeper for ignoring after that would you.

There's a reason that societies developed to have such things as politeness, it's so that things don't go downhill. I don't buy the justification that you are ok to treat person A in a certain way because of what person B did. If, for some reason, women outnumbered men on this site 10:1 then I'm sure the same thing would happen only with the situation reversed and guys would end up ignoring women. Someone asked a question why ignoring is worse than rejection... the answer is that people don't like being treated like they're worthless, and not even deserving of a little bit of courtesy. I didn't make the rules, I'm not telling you what to do, that's just how it is. The keyword in your reply was "after".

Trying to make conversation with lots of people and them completely ignoring you would make the person feel shit and invisible. I don't know why some people can't understand this. Any response makes the person feel human again. Or at the very least, that they still exist!

Either you treat everyone politely or you deal with having a few pissed off customers... that's just how the cookie crumbles. Make peace with your choice. What if the customer was perfectly polite until he'd been ignored 100 times for no apparent reason? The keyword in your reply was "after"." In our experience we're very happy to receive messages from men who have read our profile and made an attempt to engage in some form of conversation. If we get messages like that we will definatley message back even if it's just a polite no. However 90% of the single male messages we get clearly don't read our profile at all, we've had messages trying to convert us to cuckolding, trying to convince the "female to go with them" instead and all sorts. The worst is "free now" , blatantly says in our profile that's not going to work Anyone who sends us a message like that is either ignored or deleted. If they message again it's a block. Unfortunately that's the only way to deal with it.

"How is ignoring worse than rejection? I’m fascinated. I've been trying to think of a decent answer to this, because it's a bit like explaining human beings to an alien who's never met one. It's an example of how you can create a situation which is bound to go downhill, not a justification or defense of behaviour.

It could have been put better in my opinion but the basic principle is that when people treat you in the same way you treat them, you don't like it. Laughing at other people because of your own failure to understand is pretty silly. While it is certainly frustrating when people do that, I would say from my experience that it's vocal minority on this site and not what most people are like, thankfully. If you can't be smart, at least be kind.

I get demanding messages from couples every so often but the only abuse I've ever had in 5 years here has been from women I've chosen to ignore. Even if we have nothing in common I will always reply if they get in touch but because we aren't compatible I won't be making any effort to chase after them and the conversation fizzles out very quickly. Very often though there are little games being played and I have no doubt they are instigated by some of those safe haven chatgroups simply because I do speak my mind on here and don't suffer from fanny blindness. I have received messages from women I've never spoken to before saying how much they are looking forward to meeting me at an upcoming social and when I turn up on the night 70% of attendees are single women who are all huddled in groups which would put anyone off making any attempt to approach but when I do and get completely blanked I have to wonder what happened to their previous excitement? They follow that up the next day with messages asking why I wasn't there or why they didn't see me? In a tiny room with 60 people there and my name discussed as I passed and fingers pointed in my direction the only explanation is that my shirt was too loud. Then there are those who are instructed to message by others I have chosen to ignore because of their bipolar approach to the forums. It's too much of a coincidence that every message I received over a 2 week period was from women who had all verified each other or had been verified by a misogynistic and predatory man that I had challenged on the forums. I'm not here for childish games so I ignore and move on until they try a different approach which often involves forum digs or abusive messages. I'm always preaching about information that people are giving out and sharing and it may sound like a broken record but the number of times I've been able to say "told you so" in recent times speaks volumes. There's no excuse for shitty behaviour or messages from anyone and as someone already said above the friendly chatgroups that are used as honeytraps and for shit stirring should have no place here either. " Those groups have been around as long as I've been on here. They are virtually all presented as groups where women can be safe and keep others informed about dangerous men. I know dozens of women who have been asked to join them and then leave shortly after when they discover that private information including messages, facepics and social media details are being shared and discussed and not just of men but other women who may be vocal in opposing what they are doing. I obviously haven't been in one but they are discussed regularly in the forums often by women who have witnessed the behaviour.

I will continue to actively reject and ignore anyone who is being an arsehole regardless of gender. Thanks wrong and like it's not all men it isn't all women. I've never heard of groups like this until this post and think it's disgusting. Some of us do make the effort but the deleting of messages is something I do (I'll reply to a select few that have made an effort) but it's relentless some times it's a must. Those groups have been around as long as I've been on here. " Really? I've never heard of these groups, and I was on here for years before. Obviously not part of the club

"Just because some of what has been said above has been expressed aggressively doesn't mean it's not true. I'm happy with my pace on fab. I haven't messaged anyone in 2 years. I get demanding messages from couples every so often but the only abuse I've ever had in 5 years here has been from women I've chosen to ignore. "So, yesterday I had a message from a single guy that basically went: 'i bet u get some nice c**t' What ever happened to politeness, grammar, class? How on earth does that person ever expect a response to a message like that? It's no wonder some men don't get much respect around me. " Thought you get some nice CHAT ?? "Guys seriously think they understand how many messages women get If they took the time to response to them all they’d have a part time job doing so. Hours of writing “no thanks” again and again and again Plus all the return “why tho?” Messages? I get being ignored sucks, but does it suck that bad that you want women to take a part time job, unpaid, for your convenience Get over yourself "

There are a number of former posters who have left the site because they were outed to their families in social media by these groups simply because they challenged some of the women in the forums and I believe at least one because he had the temerity to turn down a prominent fabber. Really? I've never heard of these groups, and I was on here for years before. Obviously not part of the club When I first started using the forums a guy messaged me with screenshots of the chat group, warning me to be careful not to end up in their iron sights as a target Luckily for me I did awfully on here before the forums and I’ll continue to do so after The scary part is the sharing of private info. Fishing guys with messages of faked interest to gather info they can give out to eachother That is wilddddd You don't have to look very far or dig very deep. There are a number of former posters who have left the site because they were outed to their families in social media by these groups simply because they challenged some of the women in the forums and I believe at least one because he had the temerity to turn down a prominent fabber. It's common knowledge that this happens but as with many things on fab there are a lot of smoke and mirrors which is why I usually roll my eyes when some women say they aren't aware of these groups despite starting threads inviting women to join them. Don't roll them too hard. Some of us are genuinely surprised and have never heard of them. " I second this. I've only ever been on off-fab groups centered around diet and exercise and have never been invited to join anything else. Although maybe that's because I have been one of the people discussed on there, Lord knows I've butted a fair few heads in my time

" Don't roll them too hard. Some of us are genuinely surprised and have never heard of them. " The women starting threads to invite others to join them and then encourage the sharing of info and everything else that goes on deserve to be rolled when they flutter their eyelashes and claim they don't know anything about them on the forums. If you haven't been invited or joined one then yes you won't be aware but for those that have, those public nods and winks anger many women who have left the groups.

Even if we have nothing in common I will always reply if they get in touch but because we aren't compatible I won't be making any effort to chase after them and the conversation fizzles out very quickly. " I’ve seen users that were in the screenshots say they didn’t know about the groups. They exist. The guy that sent me them left the site ages ago for exactly that reason. He said someone near him had been “warned” by multiple women not to meet him. Little did they know they already knew eachother and she passed the message along. It’s gross. The pecking order exists

It all feels very playground politics to me.

And some who get more attention. I've never picked up on a power dynamic, but I am generally blind to these things. I need captain subtext !

Oh it's incredibly obvious that threads will get more traction based on who posted it. Or otherwise interesting threads will get hijacked by banal chatter and private jokes.
