Im all for swapping pics if the genuine interest is shown but why do people ( mainly women ) say must include face pic yet they have none themselves? Find it double standards and cheeky. Yes swap pics but shouldnt demand one if you have none yourself. Whats your favorite silly demand on here ?

I don't make demands of others on here don't see why I would bother.I wouldn't want to meet anyone who would jump through hoops to get a meet with me anyhow.

As for double standards it well might be but it's their profile they can ask for whatever they want on it. If people choose to do what they say well that's up to them.

I personally won't contact anyone on here who has demands on their profile .

I expect no one to have a face pice and ask politely when it comes to getting one, I’ll swap when they ask as well or offer to give one. There’s no demanding involved, politeness.

How does it affect you? You either send them a face pic or you don’t - it’s their choice, not a double standard.

Anyone can ask for whatever they want in their own profiles. You equally are entitled to not message them based on their stipulation.

Reality is though than single men far far outweigh women in here. A woman stipulating face pics while not showing her own will still get complying messages. Supply and demand at work.

But it’s not a double standard.

We typically send face pics to verified couples and women. Will send one to a single guy if we get a good feeling about them, but usually they'll message us first.

Would never expected anyone to send one if there not comfortable,thats why its not in our profile text at all.

If I'm interested to message someone first I'll always include a mug shot. If they message me first, and I'm interested to strike up a convo then yes I want a face pic...

If I'm not physically attracted to them facially I don't return one, as it'd be pointless for us both

I don't demand one first message ,but expect to swap them early on if we're getting on well.

People can ask for what they want ,but doesn't mean you have to do it .

When I send a message for the first time, I always add a face pic. I don’t see it as demanding. There has to be an attraction. If I get a reply saying I’m not for them, it’s not a problem. I thank them, remove photo and delete the message. You’ll always have more success if you send a face pic.

We ask for a face pic. We don’t want to waste time chatting to someone we don’t find attractive. If we message someone else for the first time we would include one. I don’t see a double standard in that.

What we find as double standards is when all of the pictures on a couple profile are of the female half and they are looking to meet other couples.

Where is the male half ?is there a male half? or are you a single male using some old photos of the Mrs.

2. They're not the gender their profile says they are.

3. They're so thick they don't know how to upload one.

I wouldn't say it's a double standard per se but I can see what you mean. I would say it was more of a double standard of they commented that a profile should have public face pics or a profile pic when they have no public face pics or no profile pic.

With them requesting you send a face pic of you message them, that isn't saying they won't reply with one, that's just them saying they won't reply at all of you don't attach one. That's their preference on their profile. Not a double standard.

What does irritate me more is when a profile with no pictures messages you first and asks for a face pic without attaching one with their request. Even after a polite "Well it would be preferred if you attached one since you requested one" I often get from females "ill send one back if I like you. I'm not showing my face to people I'm not attracted to". The "I could say the same" response is usually where the throw a texted tantrum.

Now that could be considered a double standard

How we see it is, if we are trying to get someone's interest and contact them, then we will send a face pic first, if someone wants to get our attention and they contact us then we expect one before we send ours.

That said we very rarely make first contact, maybe twice in all the time we've been here.

Agree with this. It's a seller's market.

It's akin to anxiety. People have it but can happily socialise, others can barely get out of bed.

Each to their own. Standards are constructs of your own mind on fab, certainly not society.

I won't meet someone who won't share a face pic, sometimes it is in reply to mine, sometimes after multiple messages.

I've got a very senior job in public office, but someone 3 or 4 levels below me may not have the same approach to the risk of being outed.
