Women pretending to be men.

So it's not something I've experienced myself, but on more than one profile I've seen exposing timewasters and messers, it's been listed multiple times as woman pretending to be men.

Now the other way around I can understand, but is this more frequent then I think?

I've seen this numerous times. I've spoken to women who admitted having a second account posing as a male so they could log in and browse without getting lots of messages or hassle. When I asked why they didn't just hide their existing profile the answer was always that they could use the male profile to keep an eye on creepy men they had blocked.

It has also been discussed many times on here and I've witnessed it myself that a number of women use a male profile to check out their competition.

They contact women who have been verified by men they like and engage in conversation to find out more about them.

Not forgetting about those that use them as honeytraps and to spread malicious rumours under the guise of outing fakes.
