having been on the site on n off over three years just something i have thought off when you msg a couple or single and you get no reply ,how about a few options that you can just tick and sends the message back to the person who has mailed you ! 1 sorry but no thnks 2 yes but little unidated at present 3 yes like to chat straight away etc just a option for the site admin to think about

Or you could just take the no response as a thanks but no thanks?

Hi folks,

I'm disgusted about the lack of manners shown by couples and singles on this site. I always make sure they fit my criteria and send a polite friendly message, yet all I get back is this automated "sorry we're not interested in you" message. It just seems rude that they can't take the time to write a polite "no thanks" message themselves. I always answer all my messages, perhaps I was brought up better? Manners cost nothing after all.

Whats wrong with that? At least its a reply.

We have a standard no thanks message we just copy and paste as a reply if we're not interested.

Same as if we check our sent messages and see that one has been deleted by the recipiant, we take that as a no thanks.

Some people need to find better things to be bothered about.

Not everyones got manners or they've lost em along the way. I would think that not everyones got time to sit and reply because they're busy chatting to ppl they're interested in or they simply get too many messages and not enough time.

Not everyone on heres genuine and you have to deal with that........my advice for this site and life in general is taken from a song but its worth remembering....

Believe half of what you see,some or non of what you hear.......or read

Thanks but no thanks either automated or personally wrotten, does this alter the outcome you were looking for... ???

Id suggest no it doesnt, no meet, no fun, so in my mind, no point, i concentrate on the inportant (not a spelling mistake the clues in the in.!!) mailbox .. if you do get the no thanks messages,, while youre reading them and thinking aww yhats really nice, theres a guy out there messaging the person that might have been interested in you.. i know what im doing...

In case you didn't realise, I was taking the piss with this reply earlier. When this idea has been suggested before people have pointed out that other sites already have this functionality.

Guess what people complain about in the site's forum? Yup, apparently they don't like getting the automated "sorry..." message and want a hand written reply.

I'm sure if a site existed that forced you to reply to every message you received then you'd still have frustrated people complaining about the ignorance of other people.

I have found that whether I answer with a polite no thanks, just delete, or ignore...some stil, get offended and question my actions.

If I send a message and dont get a reply...I take the hint! Either they arent interested or they are too busy to reply right now. If it is the latter but they are interested, then they will reply in their own good time. If not, I will assume they aren't interested. I certainly wouldn't hound them for an analysis of their decision!!

If they have read our profile and sent a pic we always take the time to reply, Often we reply to the first then copy and paste to the rest unless we feel it warrents a decnt reply. Even when we say sorry not for us, Happy Swinging. A lot of people message us saying thanks for at least taking the time to reply.

The one liners and no pics just get deleted.

Anytime I get a "no thanks," I reply with "have fun!"

Its got nothing to do with manners, its sheer amount of messages, mostly that havent even read profile, so instantly deleted.
