Devil's advocate, how can you expect a person to accept your "flaws" when you don't accept them yourself. Can it be that you can't expect a person to want to see your "flaws" when you are not ok with showing them? Yes many people do get self conscious about body parts because of comments made by the OP and many others hear that have shown displeasure in certain types of body parts but surely its a catch 22 of sorts?

As already said the OP is entitled to his preference like everyone else and even if he did express it badly it says much more about those making the playground comments than it does about anything else.

I don't agree with the"if you haven't got anything nice to say" mantra but that doesn't equate to taking the "but he started it!" attitude.

Body shaming is wrong at any time and on a site where people struggle with self confidence every day it's unforgivable.

As soon as you resort to it you give up the right to respect for any other opinions you might have.
