Hi all, we are looking to go to our first club night. We'd like to have a few drinks and have some chats, we'd love to watch others having fun, but probably won't want to join in first time, though Z might slip his hands down my knickers while we watch. Is this acceptable? Would love to know more about different clubs, and any recommendations for the best places to visit (laid back, least pressure, decent people, good security etc). We won't be visiting anywhere local, so clubs outside of Devon please.

What you are proposing is of course acceptable.

Rest assured that you can do whatever feels comfortable for you.

Different clubs can have different vibes but you’d never be expected to “perform”.

Like any club the clientele varies but we’ve always found people to be friendly and approachable generally.

Clubs we would recommend include:

Kestrels/ AbFab near Heathrow, vanilla alternative and Jaydees in Bedfordshire and Pleasures in Kent.

Go for it, you’ll have a blast.

It's absolutely fine to just watch, be watched and just play with each other (which is what we did on our first visit). You're probably best with a non dress down club for your first visit, so you don't have to strip off. People recommend particular clubs yet they haven't been to all of them. You're best to look together in the club reviews section, they all have links to the websites. The Midlands is a hotbed for clubs

It usually means undress to lingerie for ladies and boxers or a towel for gents ..sometimes naked under a towel for clubs that have jacuzzi or hot tub or pool facilities. But it can vary, so best to read the clubs website to check what their rules are.

Some clubs it's dress down on arrival, some it's after a certain time.

Xtasia is a good option, no need to get undressed if you didn’t want to and plenty of opportunity to watch others. Make sure you look at the diary on their website before booking though because they have different themes on so check it’s one that suits you.

We might well do that, but having to, on the first time, yeah probably to much pressure. Thanks for this, didn't know about 'dress down'. Good to be aware.

I went to a normal club first, then went to a dress down club on my 2nd visit to a club, im body conscious but oddly felt more out of place in clothes, no one batted an eyelid even lost the towel. Just be you and you’ll be fine, check the website of the club due to theme nights etc, it’s daunting at first but they don’t bite in a club, unless you ask them too

Definitely check the club rules about dressing down, some are happy for dress down in the play areas, but no nudity at the bar. Others are happy for you to be fully naked from the moment you get through the door
