People who block you

After chatting to couple of people we've realised they weren't our types and have very politely said this. We've then been blocked. Am I being a bit sensitive being a little put out by this, or is it just people's way of making sure they don't message someone who isn't interested?

It's just a way of remembering who doesn't want to meet you or who you don't want to meet.

Mind you ... some do it in a teenage huffy ..... snigger.

Either way you don't want either person so why concern yourself ?

True. We're as much in this for the social side, I just think it's a shame when you've chatted to someone and then they cut all contact like that.

True but we get repeat messages time and time again as if they had never messaged us.. so we always block now then it doesnt happen.. we do explain that to some as well.. ie nothing personal but saves us all wasting our time when we wouldnt meet..

We are here to find people to meet that we click with even if its jst social.. but we cant be social friends with everyone even for that we all have to be along the sames lines of what we are looking for.

So dont take it personal.. its easier to remember not to message or to stop repeat messages most of the time

ive had that, i also had a women part of a couple be up for meeting, and the 2 times id asked to meet, she made an excuse to meet, i simply asked if she was actually up for meeting 1 on 1 or it was just a fantasy(her wanting to film for her hubby to see) at which point, i was told im pushy and blocked

fair play to you for having standards mrs storm, many on here dont

I'll offer a polite decline initially, though if that person keeps contacting then I'll block, one thing that does irritate and it's happened very recently, I messaged a couple and they responded with a very silly and shallow insult, as above a polite decline is all that's required, why be childish in your first reply?

One reason why they block you is possibly because they don't want to waste any more time on you, whether you like it or not...

Never give blocking or being blocked a second thought.... Treat it with complete indifference.

We've done it and had it done to us. Like many we try to respond as much as poss, but block as no point in us 'bothering' each other again if not compatible. I think it's fair enough. Couples possibly tend to get one heck of a lot more mail than single guys - so answering everyone who says 'Hi' isn't always possible..

Im the same on this so your not alone. Mr C however couldnt give two hoots.

Generally i dont block unless someone is being rude, offensive or has totally ignored what weve said on our profile and proceeded to contact us over and over again after being told no for the third time.

Try not to take it to heart x

If you'd told someone you're not interested why would you be bothered if they blocked you?

Surely it's in the interest of both parties to no longer waste each other's time?

Hi guys

You have told the couple they are not your type.

They have blocked, you have been honest.

No point worrying about it.

There was going to be no beating about the bush anyway.

Move along to the next one
