we had to see a genetics expert when we were planning on having kids.. he was very blunt and said that it is an issue when cousins keep marrying cousins and like you said if there was a family genetic problem. As the children would have a much higher chance of getting it.

We were told we had no more chance of having a baby with issues than any other couple
