There are so many men who have one word profiles and send one line messaged. I have no interest in meeting them, but I have met up with guys who have put some thought, wit and effort into their profiles and messages.

I just think, If a guy can't be bothered with a good profile or message, how much effort will he put into creating a fabulous time in bed...?

I've met a guy with a one sentence profile because he sent a well thought out message and I liked his pictures and he was amazing in bed

Agreed. It's an interview process of a sort. Please don't look at my profile it's under development.

No. As the saying goes don't judge a book by it's profile length. Or something like that!

I sometimes put more effort into my messages but sometimes short messages are all I want to say. I definitely don't consider myself a lazy lover though.

The majority of men on fab have no chance of getting a meet regardless of their profile or message technique so the easy option is a scatter gun approach of making contact, but that certainly doesn't make us lazy lovers when a rare meet occurs

What makes one profile interesting to one person may make it superfluous to another. Its all kind of meanless really. People clearly go by photos first, everything else 2nd.

I put effort in on my single profile but no ones ever messaged me on it and few respond to it. The same effort was put into this couples profile and we do fine.

Fact is, two 3rds of the site is single guys now so I would hazard a guess that ladies do what they gotta do to speed the process up.

I have an FWB I met on here who has nothing about him in his write up. He's one of those "will fill in later" guys. His message is what reeled me in. When we're together, he couldn't give more if he tried. He's amazing both in and out of bed.

That's correct. Men and indeed women that don't put effort into their profiles do not put in the effort when it comes to sex.

We laugh when anyone whose profile says "fill in later" and then sends us a message to which we answer before blocking "respond later".

All honesty I don't think you can really tell I'm new to this site but with dating apps I've chatted to people that have had an enormous profile but couldn't hold a conversation small profiles that could women that said their a bit kinky turns out they're not ??

No, I’ve had short profiles, and I’ve had war and peace. I put equal amounts of effort with those whom I’ve met, regardless of the profile length. I think the statement is a bit of a unfair generalisation.

I don't really have a problem with a short profile and long as they have at some point update it, but I do feel they are being lazy when they don't read mine and that definitely put's me off . If there are to lazy to read my profile how do you know if we are compatible.

We hate lazy profiles. I can look at a profile and know within 2 or 3 seconds if it's a yes, no or maybe. We dont want to spend hours batting messages back and forth to get simple snippets of information off a guy. If its on your profile already we know we've got a head start.

It's not guranteed that a good profile reflects the person. Some people have the words on paper but not actually in real life chat, same vice versa.

People love to give advice on how to improve their profile.

That person with the interesting, witty profile may have just copied what everyone else said they should have on their profile.

My profile isn't lazy and anyone I've met through here can confirm I'm not lazy in bed but I don't send messages at all and prefer that others find me so some might see that as lazy.

There are lots of women with virtually nothing in their profile who expect a reply when they send a "hi" message.

Which is why I think giving profile advice is pointless as those asking for it usually ignore it all or create a boxticking profile using all the various ideas they have received which is completely irrelevant to them as they can't maintain that persona.

I think the fact that men on here have a success rate of about 1 in 75.

This is more about writing emails to couples and women so you can imaging after writing 60 odd emails taking attention to mention points in their profile you end up giving up
