Would you change your profile to attract that one profile you’re pining for.

Then message the person in the hopes you have everything stated on your profile they are looking for.

Then, when the next person comes up that you find attractive.

You’re going to change your profile again before messaging them in hopes of “success”

No I wouldn’t and I personally don’t think that’s a good way to go about meeting. I don’t think that’s being true to yourself.

Just be the best you can be. You won’t be everyone’s cup of tea and that’s perfectly normal. I just don’t think you should change yourself to fit what someone else is looking for…

I've taken quite a bit of time with my profile to give a representation of me with the specific aim that people who I would not work for can see that.

I’m short, no. I feel like that wouldn’t be a move that would be reflective of my true self.

I agree with all the replies. Just haven’t been curious to see if people are that “desperate” that they need to post status updates or change their profile just to “attract” that one other profile.

Absolutely not…

Firstly, I don’t have a single particular profile I obsess over… and I’ve deliberately used the word obsess because that’s what it comes across as

Secondly, it’s completely dishonest and fake to portray yourself as something you’re not.. when it comes to meeting (if it gets that far) you’ll get caught out pretty quickly.

This site would be far better if people were a lot more honest on their profiles

Sometimes men change their profile picture to seem more appealing which is acceptable, changing your profile is disingenuous,although on dating sites this happens frequently or used to when I frequented them.

You can usually tell quite soon on if a person and their profile don't match up.

It depends. I might alter the distance I was prepared to travel or the age I was prepared to meet. I wouldn't change my preferences because there are some things I wouldn't do however much I fancied a person
