Yes.

My wife and I do social events often. We both play separately as well as a couple but neither of us go to those with any expectations. Even individyally, if someone says "social" we treat it as just a social. If that's all it is, that's fine. If it's not, bonus but we never go in with the assumption somethings going to happen.

Have done many a time. Actually prefer having a social with the agreement that nothing more happens. I think this gives a woman or couple a better experience without any pressure. If they want more we can arrange a play meet, if they don't then there's no awkwardness and no hard feelings.
