i know you can hide verifications on your profile but why can't you remove them completely? and why can't you remove a verification you gave to someone who turned out to be a not quite what they at first appeared to be?

Surely not displaying one is the same end result as deleting it?

And if you block someone they will lose the the verification but not the tick.

You can. Just block them. Verifications disappear

I never really understood this whole wanting to remove a verification you gave. If it was valid when it was written, its still valid even if you fall out IMO, just seems like sour grapes to me.

We verified a couple as had met them a few times - they split up - he kept the profile - got a new partner - we asked him to take our veris off as we hadn't actually met the woman he was now with. Z

Because some can be really nice before and during a meet and then turn into a complete arsehole after the fact! There is no way I would knowingly put another female in the same position, by giving them a glowing report, so I would prefer to remove it!

I hope that makes some sense???

you often meet someone who seems nice first time you meet them, then you find out you were quite wrong, they werent so nice at all.

people who meet them just have to find out for themselves.

then again i once met someone who i didnt like at all who had verifications from other women saying how nice he was.

one mans meat is another mans poison as they say.

Zoe's point is the first time it's made definite sense to me!

Legz and foxy's reasons are what used to confuse me about it though. At times I'm sure it is valid, but equally I'm sure there are times when it isn't. It seems open to interpretation the same way naming and shaming is, but with less ill effect I guess.

Anyway, I'm sure it's staying that way.
