Blocked for odd reason

Hi, I don't understand why, when all I did was say how someone had nice eyes, that it warranted a block? Could understand of I'd been rude or abusive but when you pay someone a polite compliment you don't expect to get blocked....do you? Strange.

cahoots

People block for all sorts of reasons...often to avoid messaging people who they aren't interested in as it saves everyone's time.

no one is blocked for no reason there is always a reason but it their reason ... its the nature of the scene no one owes you anything not even ''time''

so best get used to it as it will happen alot on a scene where rejection is a key element...

They just don’t want any contact off you

It’s not strange, they’re just preventing further messages

This.

Tbh I block any guy that I’m not interested in because of the number who get abusive if you don’t reply or say no thanks. Just saves the hassle.

I know the reason but won’t share it here unless you give me your direct assent

I’ve been blocked for weird reasons too sometimes after polite turn downs I’ll find myself blocked weeks later when I want to see their new pics.

Reckon I am blocked by 287 women on this site 38 men and 93 couples.

I understand that it's their right to block anyone but I usually say no thanks and if they still message, then I block. Hey ho, the vagaries of the scene..lol

“You” might do that but many others can’t take no for an answer. They don’t know that so it’s easier to just block

People block for their own reasons, maybe it's to stop future unwanted messages

It maybe a polite compliment but if you're getting 20 similar messages a day it does take time to do something with them, be that open & read, straight delete etc

Best not to think about it to much, this site is odd & everyone has their own way of using it, I personally feel it's best not to message someone even if it's a compliment unless you are genuinely what their profile says they are looking for otherwise your wasting your time & theirs

Maybe they met an evil eye collecting nutter and you gave them flashbacks.

"OK, tell me. "

Not generalising here but women tend to associate a lot of dick pics with someone who harasses them with multiple messages.

Does she have a picture visible showing her eyes?

I don't have face pictures on find a creepy when someone sends me a message saying I have a lovely smile etc it makes me think either they haven't read my profile (which of course is the most likely), or they actually know me and are slightly stalking me which obviously is unlikely but also uncomfortable.

"OK, tell me. "

Your first paragraph in your profile demanding a reply to your messages would be enough for us to block you. Fab FAQ says that no reply = no thanks, so not sure what makes you think you're entitled to a reply.

This. Just try not to sweat it, mate. There will be plenty of people who do reply, but we can't all be for everyone, and blocking the simplest way for women and couples to prevent being inundated!

Up on them there hills

It’s odd, so many men misinterpret our profile and project onto us what we really want.

Unfortunately after awhile it makes you cynical.

We are here for us, not them.

OP, don’t know if it’s you looking for your needs to be met over the needs of those you contacted or simply just the cynicism from previous experience projected onto you.

If I could give any advice to a single male approach, read the profile and look at their needs over your own.

And those that are getting 20 messages per day, if they send out 20 polite no thank yous they’ll get 19 respectful responses or respectful silences, and 1 arse.

Rather than deal with an arse every single day, much easier just to block everyone they’re not interested in.

They probably weren't interested and thought it easier to block than risk you messaging them again

May seem odd to you but it's how lots of people manage their accounts on here

"What about if they turn out to be quite interesting and you may like them?"

No matter how interesting or nice someone is, there still needs to be a physical attraction and they're not going to change that much after a few messages.

What is it with men insisting that "you get to know them" if you don't find them attractive??

Do you think people on here have an infinite amount of free time to just get to know everyone who messages them

If I’m not interested and say so then a guy pushing that he’s quite interesting isn’t going to make me think he’s anything other than unable to take a polite no.

Why do so many guys think women who look at a profile and message and decide they aren’t interested are somehow mistaken?

I know what I like and what I’m looking for. If it’s not there it’s not magically going to appear after a dozen messages

My point why why instant block?

Maybe I’m unique and don’t pester people after no reply?

I take the lack of reply as a clear indication of lack of interest

I said in my first reply why I instant block.

The abuse that comes from not replying, or saying no thanks, is frequent enough that it’s not worth leaving the opportunity there.

Plus if someone doesn’t interest me then there’s no point in us coming up in searches repeatedly.

I just don’t understand people who persist with messages and flogging a dead horse in terms of wanting a reply etc

If they have blocked you, they don't fancy you. If they don't fancy you, then you were going nowhere anyway.

So, just carry on regardless. You haven't lost anything and, in fact, they have saved you time.

Don’t stress it, better to be blocked early on than spend time messaging back and forward for them to say not interested
