So after very recently being rejected by a club we were trying to register with online, we are looking to

Try another place, I’d really like to go to VA but they also require a photo for registration.

I don’t think I could personally take being rejected by another club on the way I look. Or is it more just for ID perposes with VA.

Not here to bash any clubs they all have there own rules to follow xxxxx kazz

I would think that's for identification purposes and I haven't heard of a club rejecting membership based on looks!!

If it's due to dress code etc then fair enough, but if there are actually clubs that reject people on their looks or how attractive they find someone then they shouldn't be in the business.

Wow there is no one it would be on your looks.. don't ever think that however I can understand I'd feel the same. Kinda puts me off diving into the club scene more.

Might be a bit far for you (Although they do have overnight bookable rooms) but I go to Chameleons in Darleston. Really nice, friendly atmosphere.

No stupid 'need to look a certain way rules!'

We've been to VA and had a fab time found everyone to be very friendly and welcoming! Chameleons in Darlaston is equally friendly and has become our favourite club! Don't let this put you off trying other clubs x

I'm aware that a few clubs out there do this but there's plenty of clubs out there that do not require this as well. None in the North East have this sort of membership vetting. Cant really comment about anywhere else in the UK though.

Don't let it get to you. To be honest, from what we have been told, the clubs that act like that are the ones that are the least fun to attend. You'll be welcomed with open arms at many of the other clubs.

For those who don't think there are "exclusive clubs" based purely on physical appearance (among other things) yeah, I'm afraid they do. There's quite a few about Europe and down south that have, shall we say, a wealthier and more famous clientele. Footballers, actors, musician's etc etc. It's fair to say, the clubs want to protect their clientele's identity whilst also making sure only the hottest people attended. Not really that different from elite nightclubs when you think about it.

Not saying it's right but they're private establishment's so they get to pick and choose. Honestly, if your heads not up your own arse, I don't know why anyone would go to these places anyway but thats how it is.

That's fair. But in my own defence I was talking about exclusive clubs of all types there, not just swinging clubs. An old job many years ago had me dealing with private clubs and i always found them and their clients a bit on the pretencious side. But they where not swinging clubs and they attracted a certain type of clientel anyway so maybe my opinion is based on some rather jaded experiences.

There has been a few clubs and club nights over the years that have tried this concept. Some are still around and doing well some not so much.

I remember the city slicker parties they used to be quite polarising.

I just thought about maybe trying out VA instead lots of people love it there but the application asked for a photo too, so was seeking to find out why, ie identity situation. I’ll just drop them a message and ask xxxx

alot have been doing it to guys for years but when a guy get rejected noboby thinks any differnt and its a numbers game ... lots of tv/cd get rejected or blocked all together ... same with trans... but nobody likes it when its a couple or a woman get rejected ??? ... its been going on for years

by the way i think no one should get rejected because of looks ,sexuallity,gender,race but they do more than alot of people think..

give me a club with a good mix of people from all walks of life all different shapes n size color n sexuality thats the clubs i like where no one looks down....

If the club wants a certain type of member that's up to them.

There's lots of other clubs that accept anyone and everyone.

Men get turned down all the time and they get told tough shit.

If its any consolation, if we run a swingers club, we'd give you both VIP status and the freedom to do whatever you wanted with us on every visit! Oh, and a complimentary glass of bubbly!

Because they outnumber every other group.

If that didnt happen, clubs would be jam packed with single guys and no one else. That wouldn't be good for business.
