That may well be why they haven't verified, and everyone has the option to not get verified if they want to. But for us, lack of verifications has been the biggest common denominator of those that haven't shown up for meets.

The only use I have for verifications is that I can see what type of people they have met before. Specifically body type, if they’ve got a list of slim women and then they are asking me to meet, I’m going to be suspicious

I won't get involved because the last time I spoke to an unverified profile it didn't end well so I'll avoid doing it from now on.

Rarely because in the past I've found a non verified account is more likely to mess me around but occasionally a profile will peek my interest, their message will be relevant to my profile and funny & I've met them & had a great time

Firstly, photos can very easily.be stolen.

Secondly, how does a veri have any effect on discretion? It just shows you are real.

Eitherway, we won't interact with anyone who isn't verified. Takes no time at all to get photo verified and we all have camera phones. Even then we are still wary as we've been lead down the garden path with photo verified accounts in the past (though we have met legit first timers as well).

We currently don’t allow unverified profiles so our events, simply because we want to ensure that couples are actually couples and we have had experience of single men that have been less than great so like to see that they’re going to be the sort of person we have at our event.

It’s certainly not a fail safe though, but one feature to at least help.

Appreciate that everyone has to start somewhere though so are considering having a special Social where everyone is welcome as a way to get that first veri.

Do the fork test.

Ask them if they’re in the house. They usually say yes. Ask them to send a selfie holding a fork. 9 times out of 10 they disappear.

We have turned off allowing unverified members to message us as we can't be bothered with all the fake accounts messaging/deleting then making another account. It also seems to out a lot of creeps/weirdos/arseholes etc.

It only takes 2 minutes to get picture verified and doesn't interfere with your anonymity on your account.

As for meet verified, both guys we have met were unverified before us and both went very well so no issues there so far.

Sometimes we unblock them and most of the time we keep them blocked. As Bri wrote, they tend to be the one's that don't show up for a meet. They can get verified at a social but for some reason they seem to think this is unreasonable?

We will interact with a non verified profile but if they say they are interested in meeting us they will have to work harder to prove they are genuine. We will ask for a phone call or a photo of them with a specific item. Amazingly 90% of the time the profile will immediately stop responding at that point.

We don't take them as serious and are quite cautious. We did meet an unverified single guy though, however we made sure it was arranged heavily in our favour. We did our usual vetting, he paid for a hotel local to us with proof (we did go 50/50) and he did alot of the leg work, knocked the door and the meet went as successfully as others, so it can work.

Unverified people are blocked on my account and couples account, plus my partners account. In my mind there's no excuse to not be at least photo verified. It has nothing to do with being discreet as nobody sees the Versification picture.

There are several separate ways of demonstrating one's fab credentials and authenticity.

1. Becoming a fabswingers site supporter, whether silver or gold, shows a level of commitment.

2. Getting photo verified, the green circled tick on one's profile, indicates that the administrators know they are dealing with a real person.

3. Building a reputation on the forum's disparate threads, over a long time, again builds credibility.

4. Green flag verification

This is the verification that seems to be most difficult to obtain since this requires a face to face meeting with an existing member. As a result of Covid, over the past two years, this mad made personal meets with members quite difficult.

5. Photo on Fab profile.

I have never been a member of any of the myriad of dating sites available, but from many friends with whom I have discussed the merits and demerits, the absense of a photo on one's profile is fatal.; in fact an attractive pic trumps everything else, by a long chalk.

An attractive picture is worth than a thousand words or any other form of verification.

6. A poorly worded profile or one that is incomplete effectively seals one's fate: no positive responses to private messages and blocking.

It's like baking a top quality cake: all the ingredients have to be present in the correct proportions, and presented professionally to attract that target customer.

cam veri = totally point less

social meet veri = again ok ish but these are given out willy nilly by men and women

meet play meet veri = best iof all but can still be facked and given out willy nilly ...

We are happy to interact with anyone, but I don't understand why verifications would be indiscreet. Anyone who is concerned about being "found out" will obviously ensure that they can't be identified from their profile.

And this. If you want to meet and remain discreet, leave a very boring verification (like "I met this person and their appearance is consistent with what is said on the profile"), and don't display any verification you receive (or summary).
