I've noticed that they seem to be more of these around at the moment from trips to a few clubs etc..is this I wonder due to delays at NHS for medical circumcisions?

If it's tight - only needs mentioning to the partner that it doesn't pull all the way back. Any sensible partner won't force it. If it's not causing discomfort to the owner during sex or other activities - it's not a problem, is it.

Exactly. The procedure is seen as a cosmetic one hence why it's a long wait on any NHS waiting list. It's hardly a priority like tackling obesity or cancer treatment.

Exactly this, I wouldn’t describe mine as tight but if it’s not wet/lubed I find it uncomfortable when it’s pulled all the way back. During sex is fine but if I’m having a wank I wouldn’t pull it back as it feels uncomfortable and the head underneath is a sensitive. Always explain to partners or people before getting with them

"I suspect its more people don't realise its a problem...

It's not pleasant, can be very painful and you can rip your own foreskin which can lead to blood infections. I know because it happened to me in my early 30s.

Getting cut was a last resort and that resulted in a loss of sensation.

So don't downplay it. If anyone here has an issue, seek medical advice.

It’s only a problem if the foreskin gets stuck behind the head.

Usually gentle stretching and use of OTC cream from a pharmacy will help it stretch over time.

To me, a woman who thinks you can just grab it, wrench the foreskin back and go to town is no different to a guy who thinks good technique is just ramming as many fingers in as possible and "finger blasting" the girl.

My helmet is too sensitive for direct contact straight away, and I find it very uncomfortable when a partner plays a game of "how far back does this thing pull?". Yes my foreskin retracts fully, but when I have a very big erection it can be uncomfortable being retracted fully without lubrication and building up to it in the same way some women dont like to be penetrated right away.

I had the problem as a child - I never even knew the foreskin was meant to come back - every time I peed the end used to blow up like a balloon. I went to the doctors as a teen but chickened out realising the answer was to be circumcised. Then, one day as an adult having been married for quite a few years it just came back naturally and I was most surprised to see what it was actually like. My wife takes credit of course and she would be right. Now, it just looks and works like any other.

You can also buy a stretching aid to help enlarge it and relieve the tightness.

Same here, was well into my teens before I knew It was supposed to pull back (it was the 70s ). So I started pulling it back a little more each night, and eventually more and more head was exposed until it came back the full way. Lots of teenage wanking also helped, and now it slides back easily

Genuine question…. How do you clean it if it doesn’t pull back? Must get a bit whiffy?

That’s what puts me off guys with tight foreskins

This is spot on!!

Mine is tight and just needs a moment to loosen before sex. If I do my job right and the lady is wet then it’s never an issue.

It always pulls back when soft. It’s when it’s hard that sometimes it needs some time to loosen.

Never had any issues cleaning it.

I’ve not had any sons myself but if you have you need to teach them from a young age to fully retract it and clean it regularly , this solves the tightness and hygiene problem, lots of parents don’t do this

After the age of 8 (approximately). The skin may still be attached to the glans before this.

Not if you have lichen sclerosis. Gotta be soooo careful cos the scar tissue just builds and builds and you cant stretch that, only split and crack it which just makes more scar tissue.

Seek a doctors advice first - obviously, but they do help some people.

I hear that a lot from men who didnt have a choice when they were younger.

What winds me up is when parents force their kids to have it done without any medical reason. Its in the same realm as FGM but for some reason is accepted for men to be forced to go through it.

Yeah I've came across a few that look like their cock can't be "let out" I personally don't think I could go near one unless the foreskin was pulled back its for more hygiene reasons never know what's harvesting under there ... I certainly wouldn't wanna be sucking foreskin that's a turn off for me....

My foreskin pulls back partway, but not fully. Does it cause me problems? No. Is it an issue during sex? Only if someone tries to yank it back, but normally a quick “it doesn’t pull all the way back” deals with that.

As for cleanliness, it is still easy enough to clean in the shower and I have no problems with hygiene or anything else.

I’m not planning to get it cut unless it becomes medically necessary.

Was never able to retract mine as a young lad. As I became sexually active had a few 'tear' episodes with blood and " I didn't know you were a virgin " until we figured out it was me !

Sought medical advice was given 3 options

1/ leave it but if it slipped over bellend emergency surgery would be required

2/ Surgical cut down the length leaving foreskin like a cape...and never wear zipped trousers again

3/ circumcision....

3 days later had a crown of 10 stiches ....Christ it was painful when you woke up with a wood on.

Won't debate Roundhead v Cavalier it's a personal choice but for me best thing that happened...zero regets and made it the sensations eye roling

I don’t agree with circumcising children for non medical reasons, but it’s not comparable to FGM.

Circumcision is done, generally, because of a belief of cleanliness. It’s a short procedure carried out in clean spaces with (in the vast majority of cases) few complications.

FGM is done to remove sexual enjoyment for women, enhance it for men and make the women more marriage-worthy. It’s often done in unhygienic surroundings with non-medical grade equipment- including broken glass in some cases.

They shouldn’t be compared like that as they are two very different issues.

They are only different because mutilating little boys genitals is accepted as normal and valid by so many people and all too common in Westernised Countries where access to clean medical facilities is easy. Circumcision is not always done in these clean conditions. Both are the needless mutilation of a childs genitals because of ridiculous unfounded beliefs and notions. The motivations are immaterial. For a boy you have to have part of your dick hacked off to be a member of a religion you didn't choose...

They are absolutely comparable. At lest FGM is recognised as abhorrent.

And I don’t agree with your opinion voiced with no knowledge nor experience of the issue.

Many millions of Muslim and Jewish men have been circumcised / mutilated for religious reasons only.

Without any apparent knowledge of the issue you’re quite content to trivialise male genital mutilation.

It isn’t a competition between men and women to see who suffers worst from an archaic practice borne of superstition and ignorance.

Equality is not a one way street

I’m not remotely trivialising anything.

The practises of circumcision and FGM are not remotely comparable. In intent or nature.

Circumcision for non medical reasons is not, as I said, ok. However, comparing the two is massively trivialising FGM.

Not really, the cleanliness reason is simply used to get around the law. Look at the data and the doctors who do the procedures, the reason is obvious to anyone who cares , it’s cultural / religious and its 100% MGM
