We have been on the swinging scene together over 15 years and separately (or with previous partners) before that. We have always had profiles on a few select swinger websites (although TBH the vast majority of people we have met and played with have actually been at parties like Fever, HeavenSX/Circle or house parties or at swinger/fetish clubs).

To this day we are still in awe of people who are happy to post their faces on their profiles (we mask/hide ours).

So just wondering why? It is so cool that you simply do not care what others think (or worry about friends and family finding out). We just never got to that point! It should not matter but sadly the world is still judgemental.

The way I see it is anyone who recognises me on here is here for the same reason I am and I’d hope we can all be adults about it.

I totally get why others hide their faces and I have no issues with that, go with what you are comfortable with.

Everyone has their own preferences and reasons to hide/not hide and those reasons should definitely be respected but we're of the way of thinking that hey, fuck it! We've not got much to hide and as said above, if someone does recognise us, then they're on here for the same reason!

Also it tends to cut down on the whole "awkward" wait when a conversation turns to sending face pics....at least whoever messages us knows what we look like from the off

Yea we’re mixed on the medium we use. The Mrs isn’t as keen our faces being shown on Fab, but we do have our faces on the LeBoudoir website…

The “lifestyle” is still very much a little taboo, so not sure how certain people we know might react

R the male here. I used to have a single profile and agree fully with Andy. Now with K she has reasons to not reveal her identity publicly and so neither of us do on our profile. I have confidence in the decency of people and a block button when I am disappointed.

Thanks for replies folks. I love the fact that some of you DGAF. We’re not that brave (and want to avoid the awkward moment our kids friends or their parents say “have you seen this”)

I know that’s what I’ve found, if there not willing to FaceTime or video call then I call it a day, no need for a hard picture to keep lol. And a lot of the time it’s people who don’t have face pics requesting them!!

My worry is that they can screenshot the pages with your face pics and then pass them on anonymously. Perhaps they are on here for the same reasons, perhaps they are just nasty journalists or busybodies.

I'm happy to share Facepics, but they are going to an individual rather than on "public" facing pages.

I honestly don't give a fuck who knows, or what they think of me. The only problem I have is if my children get hurt because of my actions, so a small amount of descetion is required. Once they're grown up I will have absolutely no worries at all. I also like the tease of showing everything but my face, it gives me something to send to folk on private messages. Its aorth noting that most people don't turn off the no Internet search function on their account so you will be searched through Google and your FAB profile will come up!!!!!!!!! That's where the bairns could get hurt - it wouldn't be from someone else on here as that would be counternproductive for them!!

Think very carefully about posting face pics. We are on the cusp of a huge roll-out of AI facial recognition software. Coupled with search engines, you will be identified easily once your face pic is online. Maybe you don't care, but remember potential employers will search you, as will police, tax authorities, passport office, your parish council ......

True but that requires some expertise and effort. The files do not contain layers so you cannot actually remove the text but you can “interpolate” by replacing pixels with similar colours etc. I guess if someone is THAT bothered then fill your boots!

I just take it as is. If someone find me here means they are here for the same reason. So we are on the same ground. Prefer the that person contact me so we can be even closer mates.

But even if someone expose my profile to any other social network, I don’t care. I am not public figure, I don’t work with kids or any other work that can be damaged by my lifestyle. Overall we are all adults and enjoy sex one way or another

Having said that I understand and accept privacy and discreetness of others if they choose it for whatever reason. Not even going to ask for the reason, you just need to be comfortable with your choice

So this is warning to everyone who says "They're on the site for the same reason as us".

Speaking from experience, not everyone is.

I do not wish to go into details because this has only recently happened and we are still dealing with it, but we where very recently and publicly outed. Whilst our non swinger friends always knew (and didn't care), family didn't know and we liked it that way.

Well, in our case, certain individuals decided to try to turn it into a joke for their amusement and take it upon themselves to start hunting our account down online which lead them here and straight to our account because we showed our faces.

We had shown our faces for years. Maybe over a decade even. We had that exact "they're on the site for the same reason" and that was correct right up till this week. For any other subscription site, it would have remained a non issue but Fabs free.

Now maybe our case is different from most because it wasn't fab that outed us nor our face pics, but it did facilitate a massive invasion of our personal privacy and made us easily identifiable to someone who wanted to do some internet sleuthing for shits and giggles.

No amount of internet privacy filters on fab stops someone joining and perusing profiles and using that all against you if they want.

We're not ashamed and we've done nothing wrong (obviously) but we now have to deal with the fallout. We have to face conversations with our kids, my parents etc. We also have to deal with those responsible for said outing who did it without a single care for anything but their own amusement on the subject. They neither respected our or our friends privacy and have crossed a line.

So yes, now everyone knows and the few who don't, we have to talk to them before someone else does. It wont stop us swinging and it wont even stop us showing our faces (the accounts only hidden till we can consider a name change and adjustments to our profile).

But it has show that it's to easy to to fall into the "they're on the site for the same reason as us" mentality.

Accept some may coming looking "just because" and the nature of fab makes it easy.

I showed my face for the first time when I was single.

Used to get messages from random profiles claiming they knew who I was weekly. Think some people get a kick out of torturing others, or maybe they're so desperate that they can't think of any other ways of starting a chat with someone.

I don't know.

What pushed me into showing my face was one particular case:

Another random profile I've never even seen messaged me claiming they knew who I was. I ignored it.

Next thing I know my ex, who lives in a small town about an hour away messaged me calling me a dirty bastard probably riddled with stis, a complete joke of a person and how he was glad we weren't friends any more because he would have been embarrassed for even knowing me.

That was the point where I put up my face photos public because:

1. I am not doing anything immoral or illegal.

2. Way others perceive swinging isn't my fault and shouldn't be my problem.

3. May the bridges I burn light the way. If people choose to disown me over my choices that don't affect them in any way - they're probably not the type of people I want to hang out with in a first place.

After posting my face publicly- Dirk followed suit and let me know that I inspired him to break out of the stereotype (some people believe that showing your face in public somehow makes you less discreet) and be free to do what he feels like.

And the rest is history

I hid my face for last 2 years due to my job - basic safety, no other reason.

Now we are back in a position where we can calmly show our faces once again and nobody can say boo to us.

We do have one rule - never ever have a face and naked body in a same photo.

If its a sexy photo - face will be cropped or covered.

If its a face photo - we're either fully or partially clothed.
