Am I being stupid?

I don't know if anybody else has had this experience, but it's happened to me a few times now.

We met a guy at a club a few weeks ago, chilled in the hot tub and had a ten minute chat. He found me on here and we exchanged a few hellos, then phone numbers, as he seemed nice and we'll probably see him again at the club. It's nice to keep in touch, yes?

So this past few days, out of absolutely nowhere, he's been sending me long explicit texts. I haven't been reciprocating, thinking if I ignore him he'll get the message, but he keeps on. Finally this morning I've told him to stop it, as I didn't invite this and it makes me feel like he sees me as some kind of free interactive porn service.

Why do some men assume that because they met you in a swingers' club that you're there for the taking anytime? Don't they realise that you could be having Sunday breakfast with your family as they're trying to get their rocks off via text with you?

Does this creepy kind of thing happen a lot? Is it down to their inexperience and incorrect assumptions?

Sheesh.

I find most men seem to think us women are horny 24/7, and as a result now only give my number out for meet purposes only(form of contact if running late etc), I do spell out to them that dont want texts.

However if we get on after meet, then dont mind a text from them now and again, when convienient for me time wise

Yeah, I guess if you share your number you take the risk eh? You'd think that meeting in person would offer a bit more of a clue whether a person is or isn't going to be creepy.

Maybe it's just that his cock knows how to text by itself? That's the best explanation I can come up with

Ok I'll be the 1st to say it , why would you give him your number ?

He's a bloke, he might seem nice but he's only got one thing on his mind , you should speak to people on here for ages before giving your number out , I understand you met him in person so prob thought he was cool but you have to be careful or even buy a £10 phone from argos(other retailers are available) that way you can switch it on an off as you choose and not have to worry about cock pics coming thro when your in tesco .

Put it down to a lesson learned

I think, that if you've given him no indications at all that you're into kinky/explicit texts then it's probably incorrect assumptions about what you like and don't like. I suspect that there are some women who would love that and some that find it creepy, some who find it disgusting etc. The key thing is now that you've told him not to, if he's still doing it? That would now move into the world of inapropriate!

It may be the case that he's now mortified that he got the wrong end of the stick.

Who knows? Everyone has a different slant on the way others play and whether it's good/bad/right/wrong/fun/dirty etc etc

An old Italian friend of mine said (and you need to do this in an Italian accent)

"Thee problem is you are thinking with your leetle head and not your big head"

I suspect that applies to most men

Yeah I suspect he's quite embarrassed now that I've made it clear.

I like dirty talk as much as the next perv, but not out of the blue, uninvited with a relative stranger.

I do stick to BBM so I can block people and also so they don't actually have my phone number, so it's not such a huge deal privacy-wise.

I think I might mostly have a serious case of the Monday morning grumps.

I don't give out my mobile number to anyone I meet at a club.

I would refer them to FAB first if they would like to keep in contact.

I would only give out my number to those I have known sufficiently well to trust them not to abuse the privilege.

I don't mean to upset you, but, you say that you ignored them at first and then eventually told him that you weren't into that sort of thing. Maybe if you told him straight away, it would have stopped sooner.

Whilst i do think that he went a bit ott, i also think guidelines should have been mentioned when number was given out.

Get a swingers phone. Buy a £10 pay as you go mobile phone. Only use that phone for swinging. If you accidentally give an idiot your swinging number wait until the credit runs out and get a new pay as you go sim. It means giving your true swinging friends your new number but it gets rid of the idiot(s).

Get a play phone, we have one and it works well, switch it off when not playing, phones are cheap enough now and it does not have to be flash.

thats ok for some but i really couldnt have a second phone, my kids would find it very wierd if i had two phone and would want to know why i needed another one

It would put me in a uncomfortable situation as i woul have no idea what i could say to justify having a second phone and knowing my kids they would put 2 and 2 together and come up with 4 which i really dont want
